I downloaded this video for my mum yesterday and she made known to me the old man is papa Kusagari, a man who once kept my grandmother as a wife. I know him but I last saw him when i was a child. He is originally from Casamance, Southern Senegal and migrated to The Gambia as a palm wine tapper and farmer.

Seeing that video of him playing the Ekonting in one of the backyard farms made me nostalgic. I am Gambian bt my parents came frm Casamance n as a result I was going for holidays until I started primary school n didn't go back till our crcumcision ceremony after 20 years in 1990. It is after 1990 that I last went there.
