*My thoughts on the Live Shows Week 3* Scott This is the song I can imagine Scott would sing, and this song was perfect for him. It matches his voice and his style as a former Pontins performer. You can see how much he loved singing that song. Daniel This was a song and a style that should go with Daniel's voice, and in my opinion the results were a success. He sung the song well and effused a lot of personality into his performance. Laura Once again Laura owns the stage and the song with her powerful vocals, and hits that anticipated high note at the end. She has officially proven herself to be one of the most powerful voices of that series. Eoghan This week, Eoghan took a risk and he was ready to take a risk since it's his third week on the live shows. In the middle he really went for it with his vocals, and he nailed it, proving he's not only cut out for just ballads; but also up-tempo songs. Ruth This is the song that really tested Ruth's vocal capabilities, and she blew it out of the park. She made that song her own, and she worked well with her dancers. Already she's growing as a finalist and earning a place in the final five. Alexandra The time had come, it was time for Alexandra to take on a song, which requires more energy and upbeat vocals. She sung a Christina Aguilera song, and we know what powerful vocals she has, and she gave an outstanding performance; probably the best of that night. Austin That night Austin had the perfect opportunity to do something different, something out of his comfort zone. He got everything right from the vocals and choreography, even being a little audacious by walking off stage and sitting on the judging panel. Best performance so far and more than earned him a place for the following week. JLS First time I've ever seen and heard a group cover this song, and I must say I was rather impressed. The boys had great choreography and were having a ball on stage, really making this probably the best tonight in terms of high class entertainment. Diana Wow, so many times has this song been covered in the past X Factor series, it's really becoming nothing new in terms of being covered. However, putting that aside, Diana did a good job. Not the best she's done (in my opinion), but still worthy of a place in the next live show. Rachel If this song doesn't work for Rachel then nothing will, and giving her this song was the answer to putting her back in the race as a promising contender. Her voice had great volume, range and tone, just an absolutely flawless vocal performance. Rachel rightfully got praise from the entire panel and to be safe that week.
