The business model of Zara might be very profitable, but it is absolutely detrimental to the planet and the youth's behaviour. To me, it exposes the darkest side of capitalism. Creating so many clothes in so little time and then rejecting them is extremely bad for the environment. Also, it promotes unnecessary buying habits among people. There is no actual or real need of upgrading a perfectly good fashion style in a few years, but this company adversely affects buyer psychology. Now people might respect this company and be fans, but ultimately, companies like this will do the most harm in the long run.
Politicians around the World are doing 5-6 times more harm than Zara to the planet. Still people are electing the same politicians again or on an alternate basis.
I agree with your point. There is a live example of atamaca desert in Chile where huge heap of unused clothes. Reason these type of companies and youth's behaviour.

Yes, I have friends in other countries and I know few continents are exception like Europe and Asia but North American markets, there is discounts yet Zara is considered as luxury brand. And H&M is nowhere near Zara (in terms of luxury, as it is considered relatively cheaper brand) Atleast in North American market. H&M is over hyped in Asian market.
Zara is a luxury brand?? 😂😂😂 It's a fast fashion brand just like H&M. The only difference is it's lil more expensive than H&M but it doesn't count as a luxury brand... It's a brand to make fashionable things at lower prices "comparatively" to the magazine outfits and luxurious brands...
