honestly, at this point... he should sing like this all time now. he's been really struggling vocally for a long time. it sounded so good until he started trying the high pitch/rasp at the end...
It was rough at the end. But I’ve seen some vids of him lately and he’s improved vastly compared to a year or two ago. I think he’s getting his act together lately and actually putting some work in.
@williammarlo6155 literally no one would be mad...im a die hard fan who's kinda tired of the same show essentially for the last 10 years, and tired for Axl watching him doing his best to give us his best when all I want is the songs to change and adapt to his mature lower voice that he not only has always done well with but could absolutely bring new life to the music now if he did so... This was AMAZING 😎
Axl's voice was so much better when he sung lower. People should be giving him credit for all he - and the rest of the band-are doing night after night. How many of us can do anything now as well as we did over thirty years ago? I saw them in Glasgow in June and I loved every minute! Sure Axl's voice isn't as good as it was but they rocked for over three hours! Great respect.
First of all if the younger generation that are now just experiencing GnR for the first time expect Axl to sound like he did when they last heard him on a social media clip then they are definitely not true fans of any type of music. In fact they are lost and I do feel sorry for them and the time that they are becoming of age. And since said generation are typically not sound engineers that are posting negativity this means that they have ZERO baseline to make any type of comment with validity. So basically......in lamens terms for the (younger generation of so-called GnR fans) if you don't have a Sound Engineering degree how the hell do you know how Axl would sound while performing at his age in any given venue???
He sounds great signing in the low register on this tune. I imagine that won’t work on some of their songs but it does on this one. I’m sure it’s frustrating for him to struggle to sing the way he used to. Getting older and losing certain skills sucks. His low voice sounds very good though.
His natural range would work well for a lot of the UYI material as well as some Appetite songs. Look at what Trent Reznor/NIN did - dropped the tuning to work around his voice and, honestly, unless you listen to a 94 show and then a 2022 show - you wouldn't really notice the difference. I know with Axl that his voice is incredibly powerful and distinctive with the older GnR material, but this proves the man can adapt his voice and still sound great.
I would love to see Gnr release a new album of all new material with axl singing in his natural voice like this, hes got a really good voice I think something like that would be pretty cool
I agree, they could definitely rearrange songs to fit his range. I saw James Addiction last year and Perry seemed to be using some sort of vocal enhancer… I wouldn’t be mad if Axl added some tools to help with the live shows at this point.
Omg ❤ ive been saying for years, if he'd just be willing to change up the tuning/key of these songs (like many of the legends he looks up too) even rearranging them if need be, and sing in a lower register he'd be absolute golden going into the elder years 😎 and he finally did it! This is the most his voice has made me smile in a long time 😎 LOVE IT!
I have always said that Axl should have do this a long time ago, his natural voice is still 100%, if he sings most of the songs like this Axl would no longer try so hard making high notes and we enjoy the songs better, everyone wins. ( Also say that the high notes in his normal voice sound phenomenal)
I love the harmony lines he adds in there. This sounds so good! IT's not going to work for Jungle but he can do this on quite a few songs and it will sound great. I know he is trying his best to sing things in the same key, but he either needs to do an overhall on his voice and really work with a coach to get it back, or sing in his natural key.
He sounded good. I think a lot of older bands should do this. No one can expect a 50 to 60 year old singer to be able to sound like they are 20. Well, some expect it...the whiners. Singers get in trouble when they try. Just give us what you got the best way you can today. I hear so many young bands and think....they'll never be able to sing that at 50 years old. So they are basically gonna struggle with their hits when they get older. Then you have like Ozzy, he almost talks in his songs, so as long as he can talk, he can play his hits. Its life. Still love em all and honored to still be able to see these greats that I seen as a kid still going, and my adult kids can as well.
Ele deveria cantar as canções dentro dessa estrutura vocal. Não precisa provar mais nada.
What people need to remember is over the many years he has performed he always went out and gave it all and left nothing on stage. His voice box is wore down a bit. Axl is still Axl just older. I do have to say the deeper vocals work well.
what made this so g great was axls young, powerful vocals. imho, they should shelf this one and let us remember it for what it is, one of their greatest
I saw them earlier this week in San Antonio & his voice was on, but the sound guy kept fucking with his levels to where it would just drop out or be overwhelming louder the next second🤷🏻♂️
He should sing just like this everything. Sounds a lot better than trying to hit young voice which ends up sounding like Mickey (like the last part of this clip)
*_I've been wanting him to sing this way for years_*
Me too.
honestly, at this point... he should sing like this all time now. he's been really struggling vocally for a long time. it sounded so good until he started trying the high pitch/rasp at the end...

This is from the Lexington show. He was sick and they cancelled the show in St Louis that was supposed to follow this one.
@@pwilliam255No. It's been over for a long time.
The falsetto is mostly Mickey Mouse now. Normal range has lots of life left.
@carson5108 They cut the setlist short by about 30 mins
They absolutely should rearrange some of their tunes..... give em new life
I’ve been saying this, no one will hate them for tuning down to Axl’s mature voice.
… or try writing some new ones

You think Axl Rose should become a pilot???
@@lucafreddie Diskinson?
Again, another musical reference: Low octave vocals, which started in Don’t cry

Holy shit this got me tearing up! Beautiful version. He should sing it like this every time from now on! Amazing!
Absolutely !!!! Where was this show at ?
What are you tearing up? Your phone?
Which show was this. Want see another angle
Faz 10 anos que eu falo isso!
A voz grave dele é tão linda.
Axl has an amazing low voice
He sounds very well, looks healthy and energetic. I’m glad he got his voice back with the help of a voice coach.
voice back???

If he sang slither like this all the better
His voice seems to have healed.
He sounds good this way he shud do this more often !!!
This is a win.
axl you are amazing still
This is THE VOICE, but he still singing with screams
His natural range would work well for a lot of the UYI material as well as some Appetite songs. I wish he would use his low voice more often! Have always enjoyed it
Sounds good, he always had great lower voice..
Axl can sing however he pleases
WOW!!!! AXL SHOULD SING LIKE THIS EVERYTIME POSSIBLE! IT SOUNDS FRESH!
Sounds so much smoother with his natural deeper voice ,keep rocking (gnr forever)
There is much more power in the low register. The higher one is something my cat also can produce.
I would love to see Gnr release a new album of all new material with axl singing in his natural voice like this, hes got a really good voice I think something like that would be pretty cool
Oh....I got.chills❤
Sounds amazing!
Sounds so cool!!!
Sounds great!
Axl Deveria cantar sempre assim! preserva sua voz, e manda bem pra caramba! é bom ver esse icone do rock cantando e fazendo shows!
He sounds so good here!
OH WOW This is amazing and puts more feeling to the song
Perfect!!! ❤
I love this version!
Sounds Amazing. Please Axl and gnr keep gong
I really like this!
Axl The Boss Rose 🖤
Those lyrics man.. what an incredible verse
Just bought tix for their show in Denver! Gonna be amazing! Been waiting 30 years!
This is incredible, he should use this voice for more songs the really high clean one doesn’t fit a lot of their songs.
This is so much better than usual
I absolutely LOVE this! ❤👍🏻
I think he sounds great.
In Houston he NAILED THE HIGH NOTES!!! Band was total 🔥!!!!! Was an insane show and these guys are NONSTOP KILLIN IT FOR OVER 3 HOURS!!!!
Still awesome!!!❤
ficou incrível ele podia cantar todas as músicas assim
He should do this - have them bring the songs down a notch, his low registers are great.
I agree, they could definitely rearrange songs to fit his range. I saw James Addiction last year and Perry seemed to be using some sort of vocal enhancer… I wouldn’t be mad if Axl added some tools to help with the live shows at this point.
*Jane’s*
Sounds good to me
I like this.
Love Ax
It's a beautyfull version
In BOSTON FENWAY PARK HE WAS PITCH PERFECT!!! Even this song!!!
still sounds good
@1:25 - that right there, is as high as he should be going these days. His 5th octave is gone
Perfect!!!!!!!!!!

After so so so fucking long time,,I'm hearing Axl Rose ,, otherwise I was so confused if I'm hearing Axl or not . 🙏🙏
Please Axl, try to rearrange your voice like this and keep the drive just for key moments
Perfect
I love the harmony lines he adds in there. This sounds so good! IT's not going to work for Jungle but he can do this on quite a few songs and it will sound great. Untouchable legend. Never indiferent to anyone.

Pura verdade. Iria ficar show.
Pra mim, ficou perfeito nesse tom grave
So much better!
Axel still sounds really good.
He should just sing like this all the time, sounds more natural
It won't sound like Guns dude, it doesn't have sence
It's his natural singing range, and I much prefer it as a natural baritone, myself
What people need to remember is over the many years he has performed he always went out and gave it all and left nothing on stage. His voice box is wore down a bit. Axl is still Axl just older. I do have to say the deeper vocals work well.

I agree, they could definitely re-arrange their tunes as his lower register is much stronger than his high one. What can you expect after 30 years
He sounds great here until 1.40 but his lower register is great still
Micky mouse makes an appearance
Lexington KY show!
Good
I think he should just go with this one it sounds a lot better and he seems more comfortable.
Much better!
I can't imagine welcome to the jungle in this tune, ok he is not struggling but it's not possible
❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is awesome, Axl please give up the Mickey voice.
I saw them earlier this week in San Antonio & his voice was on, but the sound guy kept fucking with his levels to where it would just drop out or be overwhelming louder the next second🤷🏻♂️
Soo much better
Rocket Queen also sounded good!
Ooooooo yeaa
Amazing. Now I would spend 500 for concert tickets 😂
😮 he started sing like Mickey mouse again in the end of the video 😢
I prefer it to the falsetto
❤❤❤❤
Dziękuję 💯

That part if the song was always with lower voice I guess
❤
It’s quite sad that he still did the Mickey in the end
He should sing just like this everything. Sounds a lot better than trying to hit young voice which ends up sounding like Mickey (like the last part of this clip)
this aint to bad to b honest
