I really like this trailer. There's so much intensity in his running. You can see how much he wanted to save her and how much he hated that once he did (he was obviously fully aware of what she was). It reminded me of Ezio running to save Cristina or his family or even Yusuf.
I hope Arno will be the new Ezio. Assassin's Creed needs a new emotional character to get invested in. Arno could be it, and they could be showing us this fact through the lowered hood.

Sanket Patil In my opinion, Edward was barely an assassin. He stole the hood and given the hidden blades under another name. That's what made him cool. He had some morals, but I don't think he really bought into the creed til the very end / epilogue

Well yea. It shows people being executed (in AC1 by hanging, and here by guillotine), then the protagonist comes in through the crowd, kills the guards in front of him and then assassinates the man who is giving orders (in an almost identical way Altair did). It also has a similar blue/grey filter.
It's fun to go back and watch these and see how the development process for the Assassin's Creed games change. For this trailer and the one at E3, Arno facial structure looks quite different than how he appears in-game, which is totally fine. The trailers must have so much work go into them before the look of the character is finalized. Unity's trailer and Assassin's Creed 3 are definitely my two favorites.

Such a beautiful video :) perfect song and music, along with the actions, movement of the Assassin..you can feel the urgent sound of the horns in the music, like when he's running to be on time, and running through the crowd you can really feel it there, and then also there's a sort of romantic sound in the music, with that light tinkering sound towards the end, when you see the girl and the look on Arno's face, that is Love for sure. ..Perfect Song for this beautiful video, Bravo Ubisoft, you've done it once again..I have to say this is one of my fav AC videos Ever. Just a masterpiece of art really :)
Theory: Elise is not a Templar. These people in green hoods are Templars set to be executed. Elise is in disguise to pose as someone who is next, to get close to the target, so Arno can rendezvous with her and cut her free, so they can fight together. Unity is about unity and teamwork. Makes sense.
I believe that the woman Arno saved is his love interest, but what makes it interesting is that she is indeed a Templar. Wonder how Ubisoft will play that out in the story. Should be interesting, maybe they try and unite Assassin's and Templars, hence "Unity"
I'm very happy that they used another Woodkid song just like what they did for revelations. Woodkid is an amazing artist with a voice like no other, I highly recommend listening to his album, his music corresponds with the Assassin's Creed series so much

I hate how every new assassin that comes out is suddenly the deadliest or the best. I mean yea its a new game so the person has to be better but come on.
Edward wasn't branded the best. They just said he was a "pirate trained by assassins" and Conner at the time was probably because there was so little of them left. Ezio it took the second game to call him a master assassin I believe so that is when you can say he is the deadliest . Altair obviously was because he was the first in the franchise, but each assassin will be better than the last because of technology, new ideas, and abilities for the assassins. Personally I think Ezio is best but Arno is probably better cause you can improve his ability threw out the game.
Connor was the best because he was the only one and Edward wasn't even a real assassin, he became a recruit at the very end. Not to mention Edward was killed in his own home by just two goons.
I would seriously love for a mission like this trailer to be in the final game. Race to get to the guilotine, same soundtrack playing as you fight, then end it with an epic showdown with Elise and your co-op Assassins. That would be perfect!

Fun fact during this era the king prior to his execution seemingly sought to eliminate both the Assassin and Templar order which would explain the light truce between both orders in the name of survival which is apparent with Arno and Elise this being one of those instances where both orders joined force as discussed in AC III by Desmond and his father
They should make an assassin's creed around the first world war. With assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand and the secret group that killed him. I think it would fit perfectly within the assassins creed universe because the tech that was around that time wasn't enough to stray away from blades/knifes etc. Considering most weapons were bolt action (besides the occasional maximum machine gun.

Robert Faber I think Ezio was the worst in terms of character design. He was the cool guy, handsome, the ladies favourite, yet loyal, honourable and merciful. We see his kind in every second movie/game. It think both Connor and Edward were more realistic with their mistakes and bad qualities. Ezio was a real huge cliche character.
Assassin's Creed has always been about the "grey areas" of history. Where something happened, but there's no exact history about it. The problem with the French Revolution is there's not many of them. So there should be less confrontations like this, unless people write about it. Russia would be good though. Bloody Sunday is a perfect example of Assassin's Creed being able to take control of that and make it how they wish.

LOVE to see Woodkid make a reappearance in AC trailers, especially considering it was through the Revelations trailer that I first discovered the artist. Nothing gets me more hyped for an AC game than Woodkid!

They should make an assassin's creed around the first world war. With assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand and the secret group that killed him. Arno has actual emotions??? Wow, I should almost think we're back to Ezio levels of believable character design. Not that I'm holding my hopes up; if I had to make a list of fictional characters that are best described by the word "twat", Connor Kenway would be #1 on that list, and Edward Kenway #2.

Robert Faber I think Ezio was the worst in terms of character design. He was the cool guy, handsome, the ladies favourite, yet loyal, honourable and merciful. We see his kind in every second movie/game. It think both Connor and Edward were more realistic with their mistakes and bad qualities. Ezio was a real huge cliche character.
They actually wanted to release this at E3, but because of the female character, it was delayed for a month.

Assassin's Creed Unity makes no sense like this. It's about quickly dropping in, killing the guy and moving on.
If you think every encounter should be like that, then you really haven't understood the lore and the features of this series.
Assassin's Creed has always been about the "grey areas" of history. Where something happened, but there's no exact history about it. The problem with the French Revolution is there's not many of them. So there should be less confrontations like this, unless people write about it.
Russia would be good though. Bloody Sunday is a perfect example of Assassin's Creed being able to take control of that and make it how they wish.

One of my all time favorite video game trailers. And then they didn't have a mission remotely like this one in the the real game. Otherwise, the game wasn't bad.
0:20 solider carries a beheaded body, you can see he has no head but beheaded. That look awakard.
During the fighting scene with the soldiers, in some scenes they have mustaches when in others they don't. For example when he kicks the gun out of the guys hand he has a mustache, in the next he doesn't, and then he does again.
