When comparing Celine and Mariah (and Whitney), it’s honestly a matter of preference. Whitney has most power, Celine the most resonance and highest belts (overall she is probably the best vocalist), and Mariah has the amazing transitions/agility and broadest range. I personally prefer Mariah’s unique tone, music, and musicianship, but I love them all. Also love Christina and Ariana, but they ain’t in the same league.

Just because I prefer Mariah’s voice it doesn’t mean she is the best. I am not the ruler of the universe. A lot of people seem to think it works that way. The only thing I feel I can objectively state makes Mariah the superior musician is the fact that she is the most involved musician in terms of songwriting/producing/etc. At the same time, Celine is by far (and I mean BY FAAAAR compared to the other two divas) the most humble of them, always giving credit where credit is due, and always being so gracious to other artists, which speaks to her character. It all depends what we choose to focus on. I just feel people are ruining their own potential for enjoyment by not listening to all of them. I think very few people realized this, but on Mariah's cover of Bringin' On The Heartbreak, she actually mimicked the electric guitar using her whistle. She hit every single note of that guitar riff from the original version in whistle register and it was really amazing. I wish it was featured on this versus video.

Celine is absolutely good but I just prefer Mariah’s tone. I’ll always love how Mariah’s voice is so light but it gathers so much power. Celine is much more loud wih her high notes but Mariah has a way to never let her voice go unheard.

In regards to Christina sounding a little more strained than the others, I noticed that almost all of her performances except one or two were uptempo songs. She was running all over the stage, doing choreo and still attempting to hit high notes live. Whereas the other ladies don’t do choreographed performances really and are usually lower in energy and movement compared to Christina.

This is just my opinion. Honestly, Ariana don't stand a chance against these 3 ladies. We hate to compare but she faded against them. She has the right tools but not the skills, even Christina with inconsistent technique still has better agility, falsetto, transition, proper breathing, melisma and riffs. Things she's suppose to possess as a soprano with high tessitura, but doesn't mean she can't improve. Mariah and Celine are part of the vocal trinity. It's useless to compare them to each other what Mariah lacks Celine has what Celine lacks Mariah has they compliment each other. They both are equally great!

These clips don't show Christina's agility and versatility, that you get from her full performance. Add this to her power, passion and emotional connection to the music, then you get an experience.

As a lamb I would put: 1.celine is the most projected and powerful and has one of the most range in belting/mixing 2. Mariah would have to be second as her voice is much more versatile than the other three and that she can manipulate tone while still maintaining resonance and power. 3. Christina. Even though she has a reputation of having VERY inconsistent belts, her agility in the belting register is extremely amazing and one might even say incomparable. 4. Ariana. (It was kinda hard to choose between these two btw) Ariana’s belts aren’t resonant and she is a bit nasal. Though I enjoy her “girly tone” and her belting range, she’s just lacking proper technique. NO HATE.

Love all of them, each one has their own skills. Mariah’s range is out of this world and not to mention how a great songwriter she is. Celine’s pipes and resonance are iconic, Christina is a vocal beast, her tone, agility, growls, run & riffs are just legendary. Ariana is good but has a lot to prove still for me but in a few years who knows, she might be there with them.
Ryan Wolf she has ease on belts because of her natural range, not because her technique is better. Christina has better lows, Ariana has awful lows and serious breath issues. They both are pretty equal in terms on technique , except they have issues on different parts of it.
Art Aspire Christina's consistent supported range is G#3/A3-D4/Eb4, because that she has already issues with her tongue on E4. Ariana has G3-B4/C5. Ariana has supported F#3s before. Her lows aren't bad, she just needs to work on projecting them, what makes you think that they are bad ? For a super light lyric soprano, it's really admirable

Christina had been consistent supporting G#4s in her prime, Ariana used to support C#5s but regressed continuously. They both strain, it's just Ariana's less evident because of her mix.
the others have been around for a considerably longer amount of time so part of it is that a lot of ariana's performances used in this video had to be taken from concerts off of fans' phones. although she does have a lighter voice, the bad audio quality makes it sound a lot worse/muted
Mariah, Celine and Xtina all through the career too want to prove how much of an amazing vocalist they are. Ariana doesn’t want to prove her ability she just wants to make cute songs and sing.... which is why most of the comparison videos you will find people with long sustained notes, growls, agile runs etc and 1-minute clips of Ariana phrasing the note. You really have to base these videos of a wide range of knowledge you already know from each individual because you know they can prove so much more than the video perceives.

Nah, Celine is more relaxed than Mariah when belting. Mariah's whistle note is insane but I am not head over heels about it. What I love the most about Mariah is her fucking insane whisphery like voice. I sounds relaxing. Celine's resonance when belting is piercing. There's something inside my head that these notes are hitting. I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Mariah's whistle. Song wise, Mariah wins. Because of her tone, she can really dominate whatever era she's in. Vocal technique wise, Celine wins. I always say that vocal technique includes how wise the singer is in using her voice. A good vocal technique means you know how tp control your voice and do insane notes not hurting your vocals in the long run. That is why, Celine's voice, until now, is perfectly and aging so well. She may not have the agility and the immense power she have during her prime, but her voice is still beautiful.

I feel like Ariana just sings way too high alllll the time, she’s more like “My voice has a natural high range, I’m gonna sing my highest notes as often as I can”. Celine is more preservative.. she saves her range for the big note, and uses it to convey emotion through the song... not to mention her belts are just more resonant and better in general than Ariana’s belts... Id say Celine’s strong suit is mid-chest belts, and she saves her strong vocal portion for the climax of a song. Mariah does this too... neither of them just start a song and start belting out every note... Idk just watching this video, Ariana’s clips, just hurt my ears sometimes lol. Christina’s good with growls and making her voice sound more resonant than it actually is... she’s definitely one of the greats but I can’t help but get a bit tired of her voice after listening to it for a while... same for Ariana, I get tired of it quickly lol. They’re all great singers, though... but a lot of today’s singers are all about who can hit the highest notes it seems, and it’s just not like it used to be when we had Whitney Celine and Mariah. Even Demi Lovato... I loved her song Stone Cold (it has a climax at the end of the live versions I love) but with Baby I’m Sorry, the entire song is just shouting out “BABY IM SORRY!”... that’s just my opinion, but it is a very catchy song and I love the parts of it that aren’t the chorus basically lol... anyways all just my opinion, hope someone read this and will respond lol 😊

This is just my opinion. Honestly, Ariana don't stand a chance against these 3 ladies. We hate to compare but she faded against them. She has the right tools but not the skills, even Christina with inconsistent technique still has better agility, falsetto, transition, proper breathing, melisma and riffs. Things she's suppose to possess as a soprano with high tessitura, but doesn't mean she can't improve. Mariah and Celine are part of the vocal trinity. It's useless to compare them to each other what Mariah lacks Celine has what Celine lacks Mariah has they compliment each other. They both are equally great!

As a lamb I would put:
1.celine is the most projected and powerful and has one of the most range in belting/mixing
2. Mariah would have to be second as her voice is much more versatile than the other three and that she can manipulate tone while still maintaining resonance and power.
3. Christina. Even though she has a reputation of having VERY inconsistent belts, her agility in the belting register is extremely amazing and one might even say incomparable.
4. Ariana. (It was kinda hard to choose between these two btw) Ariana’s belts aren’t resonant and she is a bit nasal. Though I enjoy her “girly tone” and her belting range, she’s just lacking proper technique.

Love all of them, each one has their own skills. Mariah’s range is out of this world and not to mention how a great songwriter she is. Celine’s pipes and resonance are iconic, Christina is a vocal beast, her tone, agility, growls, run & riffs are just legendary. Ariana is good but has a lot to prove still for me but in a few years who knows, she might be there with them.

Ryan Wolf she has ease on belts because of her natural range, not because her technique is better. Christina has better lows, Ariana has awful lows and serious breath issues. They both are pretty equal in terms on technique , except they have issues on different parts of it.
Art Aspire Christina's consistent supported range is G#3/A3-D4/Eb4, because that she has already issues with her tongue on E4. Ariana has G3-B4/C5. Ariana has supported F#3s before. Her lows aren't bad, she just needs to work on projecting them, what makes you think that they are bad ? For a super light lyric soprano, it's really admirable

Christina had been consistent supporting G#4s in her prime, Ariana used to support C#5s but regressed continuously. They both strain, it's just Ariana's less evident because of her mix.

Ariana doesn’t want to prove her ability she just wants to make cute songs and sing.... which is why most of the comparison videos you will find people with long sustained notes, growls, agile runs etc and 1-minute clips of Ariana phrasing the note. You really have to base these videos of a wide range of knowledge you already know from each individual because you know they can prove so much more than the video perceives.

Nah, Celine is more relaxed than Mariah when belting. Mariah's whistle note is insane but I am not head over heels about it. What I love the most about Mariah is her fucking insane whisphery like voice. I sounds relaxing. Celine's resonance when belting is piercing. There's something inside my head that these notes are hitting. I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed Mariah's whistle. Song wise, Mariah wins. Because of her tone, she can really dominate whatever era she's in.
Vocal technique wise, Celine wins. I always say that vocal technique includes how wise the singer is in using her voice. A good vocal technique means you know how tp control your voice and do insane notes not hurting your vocals in the long run. That is why, Celine's voice, until now, is perfectly and aging so well. She may not have the agility and the immense power she have during her prime, but her voice is still beautiful.

I feel like Ariana just sings way too high alllll the time, she’s more like “My voice has a natural high range, I’m gonna sing my highest notes as often as I can”. Celine is more preservative.. she saves her range for the big note, and uses it to convey emotion through the song... not to mention her belts are just more resonant and better in general than Ariana’s belts... Id say Celine’s strong suit is mid-chest belts, and she saves her strong vocal portion for the climax of a song. Mariah does this too... neither of them just start a song and start belting out every note... Idk just watching this video, Ariana’s clips, just hurt my ears sometimes lol. Christina’s good with growls and making her voice sound more resonant than it actually is... she’s definitely one of the greats but I can’t help but get a bit tired of her voice after listening to it for a while... same for Ariana, I get tired of it quickly lol. They’re all great singers, though... but a lot of today’s singers are all about who can hit the highest notes it seems, and it’s just not like it used to be when we had Whitney Celine and Mariah. Even Demi Lovato... I loved her song Stone Cold (it has a climax at the end of the live versions I love) but with Baby I’m Sorry, the entire song is just shouting out “BABY IM SORRY!”... that’s just my opinion, but it is a very catchy song and I love the parts of it that aren’t the chorus basically lol... anyways all just my opinion, hope someone read this and will respond lol 😊
