Pakistan is the victim of what Afghanistan and US did yo each other US gifted us with terrorism for our efforts in counterterrorism in Afghanistan for our efforts to give our lives for USA satisfaction in defeating Soviet union. Afghanistan is gifting us with TTP and migrant surge despite the fact we were no where in 9 11 got the tag of terrorist state but now we are not going to simply accept these false allegations.

100% agree with Dr. Abbas. A lot of training and upgrade is required on an institutional level. All institutions are stuck in some defiled version of 60's style management practices. Defiled through nepotism and cronyism. Modern digital Organziational and management skills are severely needed within the HR of the national institutions that are directly involved in the management of the internal workings of state institutions to identify and correct the problems.

At the moment 3 factors drive US pak reln
    1. Afpak regions stability
    2. China factor- US efforts to prevent pak from bandwagoning with china
    3. To keeps its hegemonic status- help pak through development /poverty alleviation aid, climate related partnership,.etc.
On India ,While US-Ind reln has certainly been dehypeneted from US-Pak reln. Pak seems to be in strategic dilemma forcing it to land in chinese camp(CHN wld definately like ) to balance Ind.
HW, CHN is/will come to terms with relevance of PAK as hedge ag India( considering rising power differntial vis a vis pak). If somehow IND-CHN rejuvenate( seem improbable in near term)their relations then relevance of pak might further be in question for CHN awa US.
For India,US engagement with pak is fruitful in sense that New delhi wld benefit by having US influence on pak considering Ind rising strategic competition& border dispute with CHN.
Pakistan is yet to sense its decreasing strategic relevance post US withdrawl from AFG. In addition its polarised politics, civil-military imbalance , eco bankruptcy, radicalised society, scorge of terrorism have dented state capacity further its even struggling to keep the state afloat. What this mean wrt Ind is its desire for strategic parity /even to keep pace with Ind seems impossible.' Hiding its time ,biding its strenght' wld be a possibles
solution but its habit of punching too high above its weight wld negate that. Now ,Pak even cant dictate terms of engagement with Ind(considering its aggressive Foreign, mitary policy vis a vis pak) for temparary peace/truce.
As of now pak shld focus on fixing its eco and stabilising internal political env. This cld be milestone a achievement in short term.

(1)Afghanistans stability is Pakistan’s problem. Pakistan got its long term strategic objective of installing Taliban leaderswho were trained and were given sanctuary when US and NATO were in in Afghanistan fighting Taliban.
(2)China factor: Pakistan is already a Chinese colony. PLA soldiers are deployed in Pakistan occupied Kashmir particularly in Gilgit region.
(3)China has always used 2 rogue countries to prevent its competitors from rising. China uses North Korea threat to Japan and South Korea and Pakistan to counter India and Iran.

*South Asia has now become defunct!*
It is now known as the Indian Sub-continent which is part of the larger Indo-Pacific region.
*Pakistan is now part of the AfPak region!*
Though it is not fair to malign Afghanistan by linking it to Pakistan...

The crux of the US-Pak relations is how far can Washington reach out to Islamabad without considering the latter's increasing strategic proximity with Beijing. The other question that cannot wished away is: what does Pak bring to the table other than the security related logistics ?

It is allied with China (against US) while US is allied with India (against China).
On its own Pakistan is a bit player in terms of its economy, technology and everything else that matters globally.
There is no future for US-Pak cooperation in the medium-to-long term!

    • @atanumandal3586
      @atanumandal3586 ปีที่แล้ว

@@tanny786 - This wretched country Pakistan has no identity except its nuclear weapons...
There are 9 countries in the world with nuclear weapons including Pakistan but no other country's media introduces themselves as a nuclear power state!
Any Nuclear-armed State with a failed economy like Pakistan or North Korea - struggling to maintain a minimum conventional Military force required to defend its borders - is hardly in any position to harbour expansionist agenda...
In today's day and age... no country (including US) can get away after using Nukes on any other country! So what really matters is your conventional military strength and your economic/ political weight.
You may be able to threaten a bigger enemy State that is a non-Nuclear military power and use your Nuke-threat as a deterrence against attack by them... but it is *hardly a deterrence against a Nuclear-armed State* which is also a much superior conventional Military force!
Definitely Pakistan's Nukes does not place it in any position to blackmail India in any form what-so-ever. Pakistan can never use its Nukes on India and get away scot-free... it will get totally demolished in retaliation to any such provocation.
So if India does not want to talk with Pakistan... there is very little it can do (other than terrorism) to force it on the table. And terrorism will ensure punishing retaliatory strikes by India deep inside Pakistan which will be seen as justified response across the globe....

"In the name of Allah. The most magnificent and the most merciful." Where has the most merciful been? He has been missing in action since the birth of this military generals-run failed and bankrupt state in the year 1947. A Kipling's coolie, with his James Bond outfit, could fool the audience but not all. This viewer would rather rush to the restroom and puke. "Fine cannibals in their place" Conrad is always the best.

Pakistan US relation are too important to be sacrificed at the altar of petty politics... its time to reset in a big way and help Pakistan get out of its current situation. The US can help stabilize its economy and invest in its infrastructure. The US needs to warn India to stay away from creating mischief for Pakistan as it impacts US interests in the region.

India is pretty much outgunned and out of depth against China. I wonder if the US has caught on it to it fully that India is using the Chinese boogeymen to actually get supplies against a war with Pakistan just like Pakistan had used the anti-communist alliance to get American weapons for an army that faced India.
