You know zen is a legend when the best freestylers in the world cant recreate his shots. AND zen did these clips under serious amounts of pressure. These freestylers are doing this for 100 bucks.
I think why it's so hard to recreate these is because zen did these shots in the moment and he improvised even if the ball didn't go where he wanted (especially with the butt pogo into double tap), recreating means you have to get the ball to go exactly into a specific direction. And just because I know butthurt Zen kids will take this the wrong way, I gotta clarify that I'm not saying what zen did was easy, Improvising in the moment like is a whole other skillset and extremely impressive, he's the best for a reason. I'm just explaining why the recreation is very difficult and not really a fair comparison, so you gotta give props to the freestylers too

they were no where near the best in the world either Shay Zee Jakze and maybe Iggy though i do not think iggy and Jakze are top 5 but their still insane
Instead of just assigning scores according to what you saw and familiarity, I think you should use a harsher scoring system like a checklist, and you write down 3-5 elements (but still make the scoring system scale to out of 10) that make the shot, well, the shot, with each box checked equating to 2 points, and even if they are really close don't give them the point for not doing it correctly. Maybe an extra 1 point for getting the placement of the shot. Just so that the scoring system is consistent. | Example: Zen's first clip in this video 3 points worth each: - Two touches to the ceiling - Ball hits backboard - Flip into the ball 1 point worth (extra (?)): - placed in the general region of the original shot | This also gives the freestylers an opportunity to scrape for points if they're down and rely more on than perfect replication of specific things of the shot and makes the competition sort of fairer, but I do believe that for some shots the competition has to be fiercer, but some of these shots are meant to be difficult to replicate, just like Zen's clip 5 in this video. Just an idea.
I dont think he would struggle to get his signature shot. He got that ceiling pinch double everytime hes not defended properly. He doesnt miss these by himself.
Shot #6 was especially hard because zen didn't pogo the ball to the backboard by himself it was actually a slight touch from the defender. So it was really hard to get this shot down but mad respect to everyone in the video. With a bit of practice they will get better.
11:26 watch closely how the defender changed the vertical trajectory of the ball, not by much, but he did it, otherwise i don t think zen could've scored that

@@zephryus2001 i dont think you know how much 100 boost is. None of the freestylers used more than 100 in their shots. They are just using unlim because they have to set it up themselves too. The unlim boost had 0 affect on their shots
They are literally only doing it bc it’s so much more convenient than just having to use boost to set up a shot then get more boost for the actual shot, these freestylers are probably as efficient with boost in the air as zen is.
You know what would be an interesting video. Give Zen 2 tries to recreate his own shot. The problem is the variables. Zen has mechanical momentum in-game and is able to get into a Zen-state. Bet he would struggle as well. Especially when some shots are adapting to the moment and not planned. Like the pogo to the double

Nobody did justice to 6th shot man. Zen faked the air dribble (even might be a breezy) to a pogo then double tapped it in. The whole play was possible because of that fake setup.
Although these shots were al tough, situational and down right difficult. I'd just say a few more tries for each person and they would have closer better looking shots. These attempts looked disappointing since they only tried it twice and saw the video replay once.
Not the best video tho. The idea is nice, but you could have just created a trainingpack with the shots in it, so the setups are more "realistic". Still a like for the video idea
