Wow, what an epic shopping trip, Scott. I am loving these daily posts, you could post a video of yourself vacuuming the living room rug and I would watch it! I could never get tired of you, Scott, annoyed at you, maybe, but never tired of you. 😂❤
The frieze fabric wears like iron, if you ever find a bolt of that stuff you could sell it and make enough to replace your porch windows! The vase is lovely, and I bet it will clean up a treat. Love the pink bowl. Good job all around :))
So fun seeing you every day! Don't burn yourself out 😅! Wanted to say I can relate on the cranberries from Wisconsin. I'm in Georgia and I do get in a huff when they expect me to buy peaches from California. Leaves me feeling plum insulted.
My granny (New Castle PA) had one of those chairs. We would fight over who got to sit in it bc it was extra wide and had very wide arm rest. I would sit in it and color in my coloring book and use the arm of the chair desk top. Thank you for another daily videos❤️
The things you saw and bought in those shops today made my heart jump. And yes my family had furniture just like that chair. That's something you don't forget. Thank you for being a live advent calendar
Just love your videos! I LOVE thrift stores. I found an OLD (plaster) pitcher .... not sure if that's what it's made of... but it's so pretty! I don't need half the things I find, but I just enjoy antiques so much!
For yrs from the time a kid until adulthood I'd never tear off that tag on furniture. I was afraid I'd feel guilt and thought it was actually a crime... thankfully I came to my senses. lol The break in that lamp isn't a problem of you're keeping it. As they'd say at live auctions "turn it to the wall." 😊
The deco sugar bowl is adorable. The red glass with metal set is cool. I dig the Continental Chrome! ❤ The lamp! You need that beauty, Scott. I'm sorry, but I don't know that salad. Thank you for the daily videos. I appreciate it. ❤ Lynn
The reindeer is adorable. Scott, would love a video about how to fix those music boxes - I find overwound ones all the time! Yes, I can feel that scratchy fabric! In the 60's, our furniture had embossed fabric that was smooth, but my Philly grandparents had furniture with that scratchy fabric and even velvet- looking scratchy fabric!
My Mom had a set of those small ruby red bowls, just the bowl no brass. Plus 1 bowl in olive green (her absolute favorite color). I added a couple of crystal bowls. Then my husband broke a stack of them. 😮 . we were using them to feed our cats, 🐈🐈🐈🐈
Cranberry Salad. My Mom made it all the time. Cranberries, apples, oranges, pineapple, Jello, The jello is not made up like usual. I have the recipe if you need it. You found some great items today!!! So fun to go with you!!!!! 🤗
No, actually I promise you there were only five. The glasses were even labeled all five for one price and what you see below was similar, but not a matching Tumblr sadly.
When I look to my left, I see a barrister’s bookcase that belonged to one of the writers who wrote “Yes we have no bananas.” I cannot remember his name. I bought it at a yard sale in New Jersey. Thanks for the reminder!
That metal serving dish with the candle holders might catch your sleeves on fire when you’re reaching in for a handful of nuts. Could help keep you on a diet! 😂
I love that old upholstery. It never wears out! I have a very old chair and matching footstool in that fabric and just about that same color, too. The fabric has faded in places, but otherwise it's as good as new. I think the fabric is called Frieze upholstery fabric. I wish they still made that fabric. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Also, why do those old chairs sit so low? I love them, but if I were to sit in one, I wouldn't be able get out of it.
Our savers decided they would do the same thing with their store and the prices are the same way I actually asked one of the managers Are they high back their pricing this stuff!? It’s very upsetting She said they are looking this stuff up now and see what it goes for and if it’s desirable, they got some young new manager who thinks he’s the cats meow🤦♀️ and a lot of it is still sitting on the shelf because I stopped in there today for the first time in weeks, and I see it still on the shelf.
14:21 sounds like my crandberry chutney. I don't think I put celery in it and I use fresh oranges not pineapple. Well, maybe it doesn't sound like my chutney after all. It has been a long day.
Oh my goodness!!! Where have you been? I was browsing for something to watch and lucked up on your You Tube feed. I’m in love! Love everything about your channel, the music you play, your cheeky humor, a lot of the items in your house that I see and just about everything you thrift. I would love to go thrifting with you, you are very knowledgeable on your glassware and have an amazing eye for details. I’ve had a passion for old antiques and anything vintage since I was a small child. You are very blessed that the stores you thrift have some very awesome treasures. The stores around my area are a hit and miss, and the majority of the time 90% misses. I hope you win the bid on the Tiffany style lamp. It is absolutely beautiful and I would have scooped it up in a heartbeat if it had been for sale, I would have fixed that broken panel of glass. Can’t wait for your next video. I have been binge watching your past videos. See you on the next one.
Sharon Goodson I am glad you stumbled upon Scott and his old curiosity shop!, He is awesome funny and knowledgeable!! You must binge watch all his old videos 🎥. I agree the thrift stores in my neck of the woods are mostly misses. The viewers and and Scott are one big happy family.🧡
Oh Scott, you're so funny with your 'piggy, piggy, piggy' comment on the chair. Of course horse hair was very common as a stuffing for cushions in furniture of the turn of last century (and prior). I'd never heard of pig hair being used except for the boar bristle shaving brushes for men. And I assume your comment about the pig hair making that kind of cushion fabric so rough was tongue in cheek. I can't imagine pig hair being made into any type of weavable thread to make fabric.
Now Scott, I know that you know that three piece set is Anchor-Hocking, Swedish Modern in Royal Ruby. You just have too much whirling around in that Merry-go-round of a brain of yours. 😅
Friendly FYI, Wisconsin produces 60% of the nation's cranberries with Massachusetts a distant second. By weight, that's roughly nine time more than New Jersey's production.
Yes, but if you listen carefully, I said that I thought New Jersey was the second or third largest producer of cranberries in the country and according to Wikipedia: More than 5.6 million barrels of fruit were produced on 36,600 acres in the United States in 2000 (69). In 2000, Wisconsin was the leading cranberry producer, followed closely by Massachusetts. New Jersey ranked third at 8.7 percent of the total national output (69).
The treasures you find "up North" are no where to be found "down South". Why is that? Our thrift stores are over priced trash bins. But I have enough treasures in my home. However, I would love to go thrifting in your part of the country, just to see the treasures.
We can never get tired of you Scott ☺️. Lovin’ the daily video’s. You go right ahead and look at those onions 😂🧅. Have a good rest of your night. 😉
🤣 you’re mistaken ! I’d love to watch you shop for onions. Your videos are always fun.
😊😊and show us the price please. Were you in Aldi?

Never be tired of you I like you finds 😊
Won’t get tired of you. Loving these videos.
I love that dear little deer! ❤

My favorites were the plates you didn't buy! 🤭 I'm a dishaholic! Thanks

I live close to new castle. Go there regularly
That LAMP❣️❣️❣️even though I’m into mcm! 😅 I could see that in your beautiful house.
That slag glass lamp.
It was a jello salad in my house, walnuts, cranberries, and celery👍🏻
That's it!
The things you saw and bought in those shops today made my heart jump. And yes my family had furniture just like that chair. That's something you don't forget. Thank you for being a live advent calendar
Absolutely love the glass garland of fruit plates...😊
Just love your videos! I LOVE thrift stores. I found an OLD (plaster) pitcher .... not sure if that's what it's made of... but it's so pretty! I don't need half the things I find, but I just enjoy antiques so much!
I say if it makes you happy when you look at it then it's worth having.
I love looking at my Cape Cod Crystal. I am even using my Cape Cod butter dish as a butter dish and the cookie jar as a cookie jar!!@@nerinamay6878

I scared of removing bed pillow & mattress pad ones! 😊
@@samanthab1923 I'm happy to know I wasn't the only freaky one. LOL
The Indiana glass polished fruit plates were so pretty
Slag lamp, ivy Wedgwood china set, and silver stripped MCM barware my picks. 🔥
The deco sugar bowl is adorable. The red glass with metal set is cool. I dig the Continental Chrome! ❤ The lamp! You need that beauty, Scott.
I'm sorry, but I don't know that salad.

It's always a happy shopping trip w you! Im so delighted for your daily uploads😊💖🙏
Love all the pretties.
Wow I did not know there were glass KitchenAid bowls!! Need me one. ❤. Thanks Scott! Oh and I grew up sleeping on a horse hair mattress.
That reindeer was quite the coquette!
Scott-you are hilarious! ❤️
I love the Lancaster yellow plate
Thankyou Scott ❤
Loving these daily videos. Love the Lancaster server and the pink console bowl. Thanks for sharing! Have a great day.
Heidi Schoop!?😳I love California pottery.🤩
That slag glass table lamp is my favorite by far. Hope you have the winning bid
This was a lovely trip today. I do love the yellow glass. Thank you for taking us along! 🦃🦃🦃
The silver barwear set is very mod, fun, and pretty.
Have a wonderful night.
Yay! You every day! 😊🐈⬛
Look at onions all you want. You make me happy. I don't even care much about American glass, I prefer European but I"m a faithful Scott fan!
I agree with many others... never get tired of your videos. Keep them coming!

Waldorf salad. The 6th tall barware glass was 1 shelf down, but you didn’t hear me shouting through my phone.
No, actually I promise you there were only five. The glasses were even labeled all five for one price and what you see below was similar, but not a matching Tumblr sadly.
@ My bad.
When I look to my left, I see a barrister’s bookcase that belonged to one of the writers who wrote “Yes we have no bananas.” I cannot remember his name. I bought it at a yard sale in New Jersey. Thanks for the reminder!
Liberty Blue!💙
The first place looked like 2nd Ave my favorite place
Thanks Scott! I really enjoyed your video!! 😊
Thanks for a fun evening shopping along with you. Let’s do this again real soon. Alrighty? 😁😄😂 👍🏻🫶🏻
As a collector I would have been very happy to pay that price for the uranium glass 😂
I love these daily videos.
Hog and horse!
That metal serving dish with the candle holders might catch your sleeves on fire when you’re reaching in for a handful of nuts. Could help keep you on a diet! 😂
Aloha 🌺🥰🥰🥰
😂😂😂two lips pattern..I had to stop and think then I realised tulips😂😂😂
I'd like to see the siver trimmed tumblers with a chrome tray and shaker!😊❤

Yeah, the dummies are pricing themselves right out of business!
The thrift store in my little town has done the same thing. It’s stuffed with merchandise so I don’t think they are selling much.
It is frisaee upholstery fabric
I hate when they price everything separately.🤔
That was the slowest Rudolph song ever. I’d bought that.
14:21 sounds like my crandberry chutney. I don't think I put celery in it and I use fresh oranges not pineapple. Well, maybe it doesn't sound like my chutney after all. It has been a long day.

I’m sure a tray with candle holders was ingenious back in the day. These days most of us hope to live beyond 40…without burn scars. 😂
Love that lamp
I make a jello salad with chopped cranberries, nuts, and celery. Is that what you’re remembering?
Wisconsin produces 60% of the nation's cranberries.
And NJ ranks third.
Even the nights are better since I found yoooooou. 🎉
That fabric wears like iron.
True, but it feels like you are sitting on Brillo pads! 😮

What a shame these thrift stores that get stuff donated free and they hike the prices up 😒
I look forward to your new videos.
Now Scott, I know that you know that three piece set is Anchor-Hocking, Swedish Modern in Royal Ruby. You just have too much whirling around in that Merry-go-round of a brain of yours. 😅
Love the video 🐈⬛❤️
No offense but, the salad sounds yucky to me. The Christmas deer music box is ADORABLE!!!😊
You must be planting all that good stuff in your thrift stores! I live in California and you never find antiques in our thrift stores. 😢
How come no one likes the 70's Brown Drip pottery?🤔
I found a rose hand painted covered sugar with gold handles. It has 1871 on the bottom. I doubt very much that's the year. Has a Lefton stamp also

The yucky Waldorf salads of yore.
