I always find some Peggy in her new character. I'm not saying she's not good, or can't get out of Peggy's shadow. I'm saying, this character in her own way is a heroin. The way she's fighting the power, either her mother or the man who blackmailed her into this job, is very much like Peggy fighting 1950s' male dominant world. And she is also as smart as Peggy, and as tough as Peggy.
What does she say exactly in 8:49? "we're bringing up, we've ripped cases from the headlines and we made some of the cases in a ??????? of things that have really happend." Please help. I don't get that word or expression at all.
Wow, now that you've mention it, it may actually be it. See, this is the beauty of the interviews with Hayley Atwell; she uses such an advanced vocabulary, intelligent references and complicated metaphors that I, not being a native of English, have to check something in a dictionary every other sentence to get what she wants to express. Love it :-)
chris miller I'm seriously so confused. She's on a show that requires acting and if you don't know why she's talking on this, well it's because it's an interview and if you haven't heard of an interview then seriously where have you been?
I love how honest she is!
