What if he and other electronic instrument builders would have a video output from the instrument to connect to a variety of monitors to see the what the parameters and knobs are doing?
Further in the future the parameters could represent commands to a visual software so the audience would see visuals changing with what the musician is doing.

@@silverblue73 No, with all due respect, amplification and pickups revolutionised music, multi-track recording revolutionised music.
If I desperately wanted something like this, I could make it from basic components and bind them via midi, assuming I didn't already have 100 different ways to control that are better suited. Sliders, pedals, pads, wheels, knobs, buttons, slide/tilt axis and keys with aftertouch, to name just a few.
If you like it then buy it, workflow is key and we are all different, but I will not for a second accept or pretend that this is a revolutionary product, because it isn't.

What a creative and novel instrument! Just to think of what a good musician with some practice might do with this thing on stage 😯

this is almost like the unit in ST:TNG where some of the children are kidnapped and groomed to be artists or scientists or musicians. Way cooool!

I guess that cruise ship gigs with this unit is a no go...one small wave and the rocking will modulate the unit.

But the Buchla and Bug Brand system is still a go for the Love Boat Booze Cruise...

Why not? Imagine the sound moving together with the ship and thus with the listeners as well! All together his could come up as an amazingly pleasing, immersive experience. Give up total control and float with the waves..! I'm pretty shure Vlad would like this very idea.

You could also use it to serve cheese at the buffet on the same cruise and create a new kind of inadvertend music genre.
I kid the Terra of course, it looks super interesting. Also it seems to continue the proud tradition of synthesizers that can be played by sausage, of which there are definitely not enough of.

Interface it to HOLON, and let the cruise ship environment play the Terra.....

Although I absolutely love this synth and the idea of playing vs programming, one of my favorite things about working with synthesizers is being able to playback a composition via midi and live tweaking parameters while it records the audio. I also use this technique when playing live, as I haven't been able to find a doctor that can perform octopus surgery just yet. =(

He's a unique human being and true genius who makes works of art. I have a Lyra 8 and the Cosmos pedal, and I'd never want to part with them because they feel so organic, like they're trying to help me make music, rather than getting in the way as technology can sometimes. I think Vlad deserves a place in the electronic music hall of fame.
