What a lot of people don't know about Mazda is that they have a penchant for precision engineering and accuracy which I can attest to while enjoying my 2021 Mazda 6 GT. I will be getting their CX-90 once released.
Nice job Mazda. The pedestrian safety and highway safety features are particuarly cool. Lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise and other tech on my CX-30 works great, and didn't realize there were these other safety features.
Lane keep assist is crap on CX-30. It just bounces from one line to another like a snake. I had to turn it off very quickly on my car. Otherwise it is a great car.
They made a budget car called the 2016 scion iA with push button start, airbags in the seats, comfy seats, fabric in the doors, fake leather on the dash, and apple carplay/android auto available with a software update all for 16k lol
I would expect a higher rating in terms of adult occupant safety considering how good the CX-30 did in ratings (99% adult occupant protection). 88% is not bad though but you get my point.
I believe the ratings are misleading. 88% this year is probably safer than 99 % last year as its a more difficult test this year. Ig the cx30 does the crash test again with current requirement it wouldn't get 99 %
The amazing job an AEB does ist hard to convey on video, but when you have experienced it working you'll never be more grateful it exists. These things do a full hard break before our monkey brain can even compute what has happend and then you are like: "damn, I would have run over a child..."
Ford did the opposite of making their cars safer when they invented the ecoboom engine that over heats catches fire and burns it's passenger's to death. Maybe it's because we all kept complaining about their fault riddled powershift gearbox.
Is there a chance for your support in obtaining information from Mazda when the problem with the dual-mass flywheel in the CX_60 3.3l will be solved? At the moment, there is a conspiracy of silence and customers are being put off with this problem. I have a 3.3 diesel, a car purchased a few weeks ago from the 2024 IV model year. The clatter of the dual-mass flywheel is still audible, in the gearbox at 50/60 km per hour when changing gear there will be a whistle (the sound of slipping on the multi-plate clutch - but according to the service master it is the sound of the electric motor and the drive sprocket retracting :) although the other says it is the basket in the gearbox), the security systems are going crazy, and the steering system is probably from a go-kart - I am being put off by the service and by Mazda Polska - generally when it comes to these cars, there is a conspiracy of silence and they treat people like morons who were fooled and bought this crap. After two years, problems should be solved and not swept under the carpet. This is my 3rd Mazda - and certainly the last one, although they look nice, technically a DISASTER! One more thing - why is it that if a service interferes with a car, uploads new software, performs repairs during the warranty period, it is not visible to the customer anywhere in the form of a report/list of what was done??? The car is the property of the customer, not Mazda or the service, in my opinion all such actions should be documented and available to the vehicle owner. And the service should be liable if the technician/mechanic botches something. I supposedly had a zero inspection - I would like to know what activities were actually performed.
I am considering this one as a potential next car. Your experience @beniamin1979 worries me a lot. Can I have some more of your comments/yhoughts? How can I reach out to you (BTW PL citizen too?)
EuroNcap is bullshit.this association always favors German brands cars , for example the new BMW I4 had just 4 stars at crash tests and yet Eurncap gives it 87% for passenger and childs protection, that's nonsense.Euroncap the american NHTSA and IIHS are the very best safety cars administration.For example EuroNcap gives 5 stars for tesla Y but NHTS looks into reports that Tesla added crash test code like all germans cars, EuroNcap is a joke.

@@wrakowic in my cx-5 i left the vibration, that helps and also forces you to learn to use blinkers when you change lanes which should always be used.

Its not a console airbag it comes out of the inside of the drivers seat.

What happens if your arm is on the center armrest when that airbag triggers?
The bag is coming out of the side of the driver's seat, so I expect it will push the arm forward. Better than the alternative, I bet.
youre likely gonna break your arm. a lot of cars dont have those center console airbag but the passengers are still fine.
The airbag comes out of the inside of the drivers seat not the console!!
