One of the most impressive things about Purdy to me is his ability to just stand in the pocket and take heat right up the middle while he knows he is about to get blasted by a D-lineman and still deliver an on target pass. So many QB's can't deal with pressure right at them like that and just fall to the ground or become incapable of throwing a good pass. his bravery in the pocket is about as good as I have ever seen.

Years ago they did an article in SI about athletic running QBs. Doug Williams said the most telling thing. He said a QB has three primary jobs - read the defense, get rid of the ball quickly, and make accurate throws- all the running, off script plays just means the QB failed at one of the first two. There are not five QBs in the NFL that do that better that Purdy. Sherman is spot on. I have zero concern about Purdy.

Brock Purdy is at the least an above average QB and currently a very very good QB. He put the team on his back last Sunday and would have been closer to that Elite level had Bell caught that catch.

Corners are probably the 2nd most qualified position to judge QB's, after QB themselves. Maybe even more than receivers.
Even this training camp a 49er reporter was making a video and mentioned that he needed to go as he was late for practice and mentioned that all he would probably miss is another Purdy interception. Don’t worry about national media, Brock’s biggest critics are 49 content creators. A couple of them just wait for him to make a mistake.

Years ago they did an article in SI about athletic running QBs. Doug Williams said the most telling thing. He said a QB has three primary jobs - read the defense, get rid of the ball quickly, and make accurate throws- all the running, off script plays just means the QB failed at one of the first two. There are not five QBs in the NFL that do that better that Purdy. Sherman is spot on. I have zero concern about Purdy.

NOBODY liked Purdy on draft day! 31 General managers didn't like him a total of 217 times, and John Lynch didn't like him until the last pick. And that's the only reason so much shade is thrown his way, because he made all those GMs look stupid for passing on him for 7 rounds. Had he been a top 10 pick, he would be hailed as the second coming of Steve Young for the Niners. Look at Trevor Lawrence, a 1st overall pick, can't win a game, but still hailed as an elite QB. Had he been picked in the 6 or 7th round, he'd have been shipped out of Jacksonville already.
Krueg-go look at Purdy’s first game at Iowa State vs Oklahoma State in 2018. You will see the same baller. You should do a breakdown of this game! Now if you go to his last game you will see why he dropped to last in the draft. He tried too hard…. Battled down int, run backwards after 1st down, etc. but he has always had the dawg!!!
