    This has got to be one of the BEST videos/discourses about Enlightenment, Liberation, Moksha, Self-Realization, etc.!!! Mooji you are brilliant, wise, and sweet. I AM AWARENESS. I AM That Space where every thought, word, and action Appear and Disappear. Thank you, Mooji!

    I always preferred the saying "To search for enlightenment is like stepping forward to achieve standing still. " I dig the nuances.

    Thank you Mooji, and thank you to whoever posted this.
    The experience of insight, illumination, coming home, (whatever you want to call it), in a nutshell. Simplicity itself.
    I would recommend to anyone who has stumbled upon this, to see Douglas Harding, and read his "On Living Without A Head"
    "As long as there's a search - there's a sense that something is missing".
    There isn't.

    Of the many earnest, and how earnest, people we may observe reading, attending lectures, studying and practicing disciplines, devoting their energies to the attainment of a liberation which is by definition unattainable, how many are not striving via the ego-concept which is itself the only barrier between what they think they are and that which they wish to become but always have been and always will be? - Why Lazurus Laughed by Wei Wu Wei
    Thank you Mooji.

    a trick with selfless love and concern for others is that the idea itself strokes ego.
    and if something strokes ego, it creates a motive to be inadequate and to avoid questioning the ego stroking idea.

    That's actually really helpful to me. Thanks. After all, if we felt ourselves to be entirely whole and complete, we would not be searching for anything. We would simply be and would be happy with our wholeness and knowing of our selves. These statements used to come off as ignorant to me but it seems the universe is just a fan of irony. We tire of ignorance, search for happiness through understanding and find happiness in ignorance.

    Hi Mooji, I like this video. This is Gilbert from the Urban Guru Cafe Podcast. It is pleasant to see someone speaking clearly about the obvious clear and totally available presence of pure knowing. Forget about enlightenment - exactly.
    Warm regards - Gilbert.

    The hard work is very much present, in asserting control over your own thoughts("thinking of not thinking" is not meditation) .And I believe he meant that the state described as enlightenment arises from an adaptive rewiring of the brain after it's comfortable with absolutely not using any lens (conscious thoughts) through which to filter reality.

    Yes he's absolutely right.......BUT the mind and hid tendensies wil not allow you to live this truth before you realised it to be so....and that's why they invented meditation or yoga, insight...great wonderful but if you cant live it you skip from one frustration into another, goodluck to you all there, may the light that you are enlighten you....

    I know a lot of viewers will be harsh on me for this, but if you ever watched a movie called Matrix Revolution, hes is almost saying exactly what the ARCHITECT was saying to NEO..Watch that part for yourself and tell me..If you ever get the chance, just listen to all the Matrix movies without actually watchin it, its sort of enlightening. Peace

    Only, if you believe a thought than you don't have a thought but thought has you. But, be for that, it was your decision. That you did not want just to be, but you did want something to believe.

    I believe he is saying that if we try to hard to find spritual awareness we only distract ourself from seeeing our True Self. Remember the old saying k.i.s.s. keep it simple stupid?not that we are stupid of course.

  • @KeesBos2
    @KeesBos2 17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Only if you believe that.
    But believe is nothing more as a pitcher / concept in your mind that lives on your energy.
    Before there is a thought there is something,.. call it awareness.
    You can only great a concept of god in your mind definite by your culture, your history.
    But before you can create,.. IT is. You can only overwrite what your hart lives this moment.

    Nice. Ok, lets agree I am there. But I dont experience myself as being there, yet others do, which means although I might be there, my experience is different and so my reality is different. If I cant do anything to get there, to experience it, just because I am already there, then what? I am doomed?

    I like this guy, Great stuff. I love advaita, the antidote to all the lies and contradictions of western "religion".
    It is genius of him to focus on the major pitfall of "celebrity" entering eastern philosophy...the idea of rank, are you enlightened? Are you a certified priest?.....that, my dear, is nonsense.

    hey! are you fully enlightened? if so could u help me a little bit? i'm really really close to it (really close) and I'd like to speed up the process as much as possible. do u have some sort of IM?

  • @jonesani
    @jonesani 16 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You keep explaining me the theoretical concept, like Mooji does, but you also fail in explaining the Howto. You ignore the fact, that I do not experience to be there, regardless if I am there or not in some ultimate reality.
    And if I dont not experience it, then in my own reality, which is the only reality that exists, I am not there.
    What´s left is still the one big question:
    How can someone switch from not experiencing it to experiencing it?

  • @jonesani
    @jonesani 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    5. So we have to groups:
    Some who experience themself as being there
    and
    some who dont and who dont have a chance that this will ever change, because there is nothing they can do.
    6. Now I get. Thats makes those who say they are there superior to the others. Makes them feel special.
    Hmmm...

  • @orkishiswithk
    @orkishiswithk 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    it seems our way of saying it is a bit different.
    when you say 'bad when it [ego] becomes purely self-serving', i don't get it.
    when i am serving my ego by using every opportunity to stroke it up and down, and forgetting to use common sense where i would rather want to, then i would say i am contradicting my interests.
    'selfless love' in combination with 'tremendous struggle'... just seems there might be a little pitfall there.

    how do you judge a personal operating at a higher spiritual point of view than yourself?
    maybe you can sense that it is higher by the presence, but more than that? and how can you expect him/her to lay out his/her entire metaphysics in 8.5 minutes - can you? this being my first intro to Mooji, my sense is that he rocks pretty good. I am not going to evaluate his degree of enlightenment - I am not qualified. I will leave that to the other posters who are more advanced than he.

    Now that I have seen this, I will never need to watch any more of Mooji's videos or read any of his material! There is nothing to do, and all of THIS is a waste of time... now that I know.

  • @KeesBos2

    Surly, It is not about Mooji it is about what he is saying.
    You did rely listened well.

  • @jonesani
    @jonesani 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    He talks about the destination, but he fails to tell how to get there and obviously there is something to do, because otherwise there wont be some who are there and some who are not there. So the point is to explain, who eliminate the difference or how to pass the gap.
    And like almost all teachers he simply ignores this most important point of all teachings.

  • @aaronananta
    @aaronananta 15 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Oh, I understand his point perfectly clear, but i dont agree with him, simply having the notion that I am enlightened or perfect is not enough, it is not the goal, its just a concept, and if Moojie says"forget about that too" I would say that nothing at all can come out of simply "forgetting about everything" but perhaps his goal is some type of zen like nothingness, what's the point of that.
