Hey, some videos show this model having the ability to extend (like an internal poll). I haven't been able to get mine to do that, have you Russ? I'm wondering if they "downgraded" the model to lower the price. I mean, it's not a critical thing to me, but I *am* wondering if I'm doing something wrong! Thank you for confirming my purchase I had the Osmo mobile three and the software did not work with my iPhone 8 or with a FiLMiC Pro and actually I can use the Moza mini s with the MOZA Genie software or with a FiLMiC Pro so awesome purchase for 80 bucks
Can you activate track/follow if you are recording yourself using the rear camera? Like while mounted on a tripod. Can you set up the gimbal to follow track yourself?
Thanks for the anti shake function, couldn’t find out why it was crashing, I am using iPhone XR, this is my first gimbal, I bought it $79 came with an extra Ulanzi horse shoe to mount the mic and the light
working with a slightly bad gimble is a good start , as we can learn keeping our hand n body more stable , so we get 2x better shots with a better gimbal in future

Quick question, so when you sit it on the desk and have it on “tracking mode” , will it follow me around my room doin unboxing’s or I want to get this one for my brother who has 60 Snakes 🐍!!.. And my point is , he will be grabbing different snakes and talking about them and moving around the room and get close and back away. Not sure about compatibility, but it fits any phone out there. Just like any gimbal, running is hard to control because of the up and down motion. Not too much running in most videos though.
Hi Russ.. nice review video. I got a few questions here. Noted that the motor has a stopper which makes it rotate around 200°. So how does the motion timelapse mode works. Can it capture 360° motion video? Another one.. If I use ultra wide mode video or camera on my phone will it capture the motor?
When you shot the video, are you able to get nice smooth video without the choppy look. Would adding ND filter help to make video footage look smoother. Is it necessary? It would be interesting to see if you are able to shoot vlog from the smartphone with the microphone ND filter (if necessary). Just curious to see. Kind of wished I had this set up with me on my road trip for a couple of job that I did a few weeks ago. Thank you for the video.
Well, you can't really put an ND filter on your mobile device. At least not that I know of. Yes, the footage was very smooth. The only thing I noticed is that the Z-axis (slight up and down motion) is still there if you don't walk with soft knees. But I was AMAZED at how well it did on the boat in choppy waters!
@@51Drones I was watching a youtube video showing the difference with and without the ND filter when this person was doing a jumping jack. The video with the ND filter looked better and smoother. I was wondering if the same effect would apply to the smartphone and the gimbal with and without the ND filter. What do you think?
ND filter would help in bright sunlight as it would allow your phone to shoot at a lower shutter speed. Lower shutter speed would give you less choppy ness between frames with moving subjects. However I don’t think a ND filter would improve smoothing the overall movement of the phone.

I purchased one of these yesterday because of all the good reviews, unfortunately my phone won't connect to it. I've tried updating my Bluetooth connection and it still won't connect. So the $99 that it cost me here in Australia wasn't money well spent. I can still use it but have to use all the controls for the camera from the phone and not the humble. Just wonder if you have heard of this problem before?
Good, informative video, Russ. One thing I noticed you didn't cover extensively: how well the zoom feature on this gimbal works. I have the Osmo Mobile 2 and as you may know, the zoom is not the best. Very choppy.
Nice job, as usual, Russ! What an incredible amount of technology for $79! Do we live in a great era, or what? I don't know if I need one of these because I have an Osmo Action. I prefer to use it over my phone due to the fact that it's way more bulletproof and costs 1/3 of what the phone does if something does go wrong. One use I can see for the phone on a gimbal would be when I don't want my video to be wide-angle. Thanks again for all your great videos!
Hey So I ordered the Mini M and they accidentally sent over the S And it’s been a pain in every single way. Especially today when I was out all bundled up and shooting B roll and the damned thing just started crashing for no reason at all. First thing I did when I got back was check this video and you addressed the reason (apparently antishake) I’ll see if tomorrow turning it off will fix it but for now, it feels like one straw too many

If so what made you switch I have always used a Galaxy now have the S8 witch I have broken and looking to get a new one. I have looked at the Google phone just can't decide on that or the S10. I got the Pixel for it's sweet camera. The photos are amazing. I don't miss the Samsung at all. The only negative is that I wish the screen was brighter.
I have three gimbals in mind to buy. Which one should I go with? Zhiyun Smooth 4, Moza Mini-S and Dji Osmo mobile 3. Please pour in your suggestions. By the way, I phone I use is a OnePlus 6.

I've tried 2 hours now to get it in portrait mode and be able to pan and move it. How can I do it. I give up after trying for 2 hours to film in portrait mode and be able to move the camera with controls in portrait mode and stabilize it.
I gave thumbs up for review but the app on Android is horrible. The functions don't work as promised 89% of the time and the gimbal just won't connect to my Samsung S10+. I looked at the reviews and noticed the developer has a problem with responding to issues also. I'm glad this worked for some but it looks like just a few. I'm returning mine. My moza mini s broke after about 4 mos of not so frequent use. i tried to contact gudzen as well as the seller but apparently there was no warranty.. BUYERS BEWARE!!!
phone cameras are amazing, but they are nowhere near as good as DSLR especially in low light photography and video, you will never find a phone camera for example with even 1/2 sensor, most phones got tiny small sesnsors and thats the main contributor for low quality night footage, but anyways, i agree your phone is just fine shooting in good sun light conditions besides its portability...
Ankit Sharma so update... the app is CRAP. Unfortunately I returned it because of the buggy app. The tracking works when it feels like and getting pictures to your phone sometimes does not work. I got the DJI Osmo and it’s way better

Ankit Sharma they’re probably getting kick backs lol. it’s also bulky compared to the DJI... look at the MOZA app reviews on the App Store. It’s 2 stars for just reason. However its a good bang for your buck but I rather spend the extra bucks to save headache

Theres actually a usb mini to audio jack incase if your device wont connect to a the moza app

Osmo 3 combo is a bit more pricey (I have both) but it is a better app and better build quality
