The F Word Don't say it Without passion Slips So viscously Like bombs in an otherwise intellectual trade off Showing stubbornness Not knowing when to listen Not knowing when there is passion Truly Like bombs in an otherwise heart felt conversation Say it with passion Truly
I know you're trolling, but I first heard of Subpop from a small band called Nirvana. They're really obscure though you've probably never heard of them.
The Postal Service, Minus the Bear, The Shins? Those are some pretty important bands that established and made a name for themselves before and during the indie music, proliferation saga.. Probably some of the greatest and unique array of artist that were performing, committed to their craft and lived for a cause bigger than themselves. Before the music industry lost its stature and sophistication back in 08-09, because Apple released iPhones/iPods that surely made purchasing full albums or records a thing from the past. People started to care for ratings, statistics, and out appearances in lieu of quality over quantity, which is the way the artist and bands I aforementioned stood for. Recording music technology wasn’t available to just anybody, and music had a profound purpose before we started to rely and depend on technology like a crutch. It made music easier too access, it gave anyone who doesn’t have voice or an important testament to convey to humanity, lack of compassion and a sense of solidarity; understanding.
Actually it's, "Lawty lawty loved him." Stark don't give a flat fuck. Straight out of the CD lyric leaflet thingy. Even the lyrics websites have it slightly wrong, which is surprising since anyone who actually owns the album could correct it. I guess they too don't give a flat fuck
@@Chicanery_Artifice i see this too often and wish there was a "genius" type website that could verify uploads as genuine scans of lyrics and have people's transcriptions / OCR transcriptions verified by people (or AI i guess). This way you can at least see where you don't have a genuine explanation for what's being said in a song lol . take this record, or modest mouse, for example, the earlier work has lyrics in the booklet... ...for some songs only. i know plenty of other bands that leave some words behind... and add more when writing them down. still a dream of mine. one day....
Entirely unable to explain why or how, but this may he my favorite song. Ever.
same its really up there
Me too :)
Sameeeee
i was really surprised to see how few views this had. was always my favorite back in the day
Criminally underrated. Especially considering the two very talented lead vocalists and the popularity from their bands originally.
Smoke was pulled in ribbons
From the window of the car
I followed the flash
Of silver from your teeth
Above the tarmac
The lights were icy green
Buried in patterns
In your chest
A quiet shimmering
Little Dipper
Tiara shine
Song birds shivering
The thin, thin dime
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Songs were pulled in ribbons
From the window of the car
Lost along the shoulders
Of the highway
Cakewalk dancers
Unwind from their spin
Singing
"Lordy, lordy loved him"
Stark don't give a flat fuck
"Lordy, lordy loved him"
Stark don't give a flat fuck
"Lordy, lordy loved him"
Stark don't give a flat fuck
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Smoke like ribbons
Stars they don't give a flat fuck
this song will make me cry
Stark don’t give a flat fuck.
.... cat faces 🐱 does that to me. Makes me think about life and trying to recall the last time I seen my Mother
Why is it so good
The banjo.
@@squeakeththewheel the slide guitar too

Holy moly this could be a Red Red Meat or Califone tune.
Maybe you know, but Tim Rutili was in this band
Brian Deck also here from Red Red Meat
Does anyone know is someone or who sings vocals with issac in this song?
Smoke like ribbons
*stars don't give a flying fuck*
(I remember chain smoking with My close friends smoking stogie listing to parasites what grand times)
For years I thought it was “starch don’t got a flavor” 😂 the proper lyrics are much more profound
Stark don't give a flat fuck*
Broken heart I eat 💔😭
why no lyrics?
For starters I dont
The F Word
Don't say it
Without passion
Slips
So viscously
Like bombs in an otherwise intellectual trade off
Showing stubbornness
Not knowing when to listen
Not knowing when there is passion
Truly
Like bombs in an otherwise heart felt conversation
Say it with passion
Truly
Uh...yeah okay dude
😑🤘💜🤘🥃🚬
Tried 18 of this bands songs. They have 1 one good song, "Heres to now". The rest of this is trash...
bold words for someone who's WRONG
large_cat “Bold words for someone who’s wrong” should be the title of Modest Mouse’s next album
lmao
Dang John ya got some bland taste have you visited stark? Heard the cops there are pretty aggressive. Are you a cop?
This album is nothing but amazing.
that moment when you realize Isaac Brock is the only artist That put Sub Pop on the map.

Although you are right that Isaac Brock is their biggest name and rightfully so

I always say ' for starters I don't give a flyin fuck . I'd love to but ' yeah
That'll always be the lyric to me, too. It just fits their whole nihilism theme too well.
Pretty sure this is incorrect but at this point it’s all left up to interpretation
