Yea… I’ll have games where I can’t get anything going for me even when I’m making great swings, I’d love to say it’s just baseball but I secretly thing the game has something against us lol
Great great insight at timing and why it may be off. I usually play versus mp set to ANY difficulty for hitting and pitching to warm for DD for several weeks now. I usually play on ANY DIFFCULTY but do practice hitting on legend with my pitcher arm sPEEd at 100% i have been thinking of playing only on allstar for a few days. I will do that now.
bro I struggle so much with being able to identify which pitch type is being thrown until its tool late. Like I keep getting late-very late on fastballs whilst even playing offline. Its my first mlb the show ever so idk if that comes into play
Rest assured that the pitch recognition WILL come with time. The show is a game that ZERO people pick up for the first time and are good at it, it took me a year or so before I even became somewhat competitive. And without a doubt pitch recognition and timing is the hardest mechanic in the game, don’t beat yourself up about it !
Focus on looking at pitches to begin a game. Then after a inning focus on the zone/location of pitches. Now work the count and take pitches. Take strikes and don't be afraid to just sit on a 3-2 count and watch as now your opponent becomes predictable with said pitch and location. Now you may feast. But remember to take pitches and also not be afraid to just sit on obvious strike counts. You will be surprised at how you can just defeat an opponent by taking pitches. I have guys in DD just quit after 3 innings of me nit swinging, but when I do it's a line drive out or a lin3 drive to the track!!! After about 1 inning of that they quit around the 4th. Make sure to see what they are throwing. Don't just sit there ya know. Foul off pitches with contact swing on purpose. Let them know you know what's coming and where by how you foul off balls and take pitches. Practice practice. I go days where i only practice hitting and pitching. Don't play one versus on and offline match.
Most people don't even recognize the reasons they're struggling! I tried to give beginners an idea of what they could be doing wrong and how to work on them :)
Ngl the hitting sucks I’ll have countless pictures of perfect timing with just line outs to outfielders

yeahhh
This years the worst it’s ever been
I agree the hitting is trash
Guys it's called SBMM/EOMM. This game has it as well as all sporting games do now. It's just not in shooter games anymore.
Not only the fact most perfect swings are line drive outs but the amount of foul balls in slightly early swings is overwhelming
That's literally my least favorite part of the game this year its so annoying.
i hit a perfect ball and the pci was inside the ball and it popped up making me lose the 5 streak in br

One of the most difficult swings for me to time is Matt Olson. He plants his foot on the release and not when the ball approaches 😩
Sell him while you can! He is tough though
Play on legend with the pitch speed at 10. Directional hitting I get more homeruns. Use strikezone offset view
Respectfully, anyone trying to play competitively online should not be using directional

@@babyyackk17 lol sure
Bro I get hella pop ups and early smh this shit is trash
You’re upset with the game or the video?
I have no depth perception anymore.
I hear you man, tbh I struggle with it as well, doesn’t help that the ball is coming at us in 2D either it’s super hard to recognize
