I own a 2017 XUV and would have liked it better if it had a softer suspension and rear wheel drive system. Even the minutest pothole can be felt in the steering and it has lots of torque steer....
I drove the Hexa and it feels just awesome....
Both are good in their own terms..XUV is light and nimble hence better to travel in city..Hexa is heavy and solid hence better for highways..Both are indian brands and I am proud of them both!!

The 400 NM torque goes in favour with Tata Hexa, actually XUV was a great Crossover but the latest Chinese looking front grille makes it a cheaper car that comes from Chandni chowk market. Mahindra would have given it a better grille.
Mahindra is a better brand but if you compares xuv and hexa, hexa is anyday a better suv. How is xuv500 even a suv when it is a monocoque front wheel powered awd car, whereas hexa is a proper 400nm torque beast made on ladder on frame platform and it is rear wheel powered proper 4*4 which way more capable than any car with front wheel powered awd. Hexa has lower centre of gravity which results in better stability and handling. Hexa has better well tuned suspension than xuv's bouncy suspesion. Hexa has more space, has better comfort and hexa is very well build with great exterior & interior quality levels. Scoring 5 stars in global ncap is a piece of cake for hexa. I know looks are subjective, but hexa has better looks and hexa looks way better on road that what it looks on photos and videos, road presence is massive and it looks like a 50 lakhs car with great bold looking rear. When it comes to reliability and long term, tata has tested and drived hexa 800,000km in different countries and in different condition. Xuv500 is surely a great value for money car but we must not forget how great hexa is!
@shubham jalgaonkar dude read it properly! I said "scoring 5 stars in global ncap is piece of cake for hexa", i didn't said that it is tested. Hexa is not tested yet but it will surely score 5 stars as it is very well built
Fact of life is that hexa is not selling well ... Some 500 units per month. This is very dissapointing as well as raises a concern that tatas may axe the hexa if harrier is successful.
By your logic then harrier also can not be considered as suv since it's a monocoque.
@@saurabhbanerjee987 hexa is not selling well? Dude, it it selling 800 units per month, i just checked that. Xuv sold about 1100 units. And tata will soon announce an update on hexa with more engine options like 2L multijet. I think you haven't seen motorbeam's review on harrier, harrier do get a monocoque but it's from land rover. Harrier get's a terrain system from land rover which makes it a decent off-roader. Watch autocar's video on hexa vs xuv, xuv awd version wasn't even able to cross some off-road obstacle but hexa easily crossed.

I did not even mention xuv and u r comparing hexa with xuv !!! I hv only expressed a concern. Also please do not talk of Tata upgrading the hexa ... I hv bn waiting for the last 2 yrs for them to upgrade the ice to 7 inch ... Also the latest report is that they have reduced a no of features from hexa ... Xm and xt models.

Xuv has automatic in 2 wheel drive & AWD (All wheel DRIVE) , but HEXA has automatic only in 2 wheel drive, no sunroof in HEXA, so Xuv is the final Winner

Xuv is an old established suv in the market which is about 8 year old in the market. Whereas hexa is just 2 year old and being a most promising product in the segment, it still suffered because of poor tata's service image and due to people's perception on tata cars. Now tata have changed a lot, xuv still sells the two times than of hexa but tata is soon coming with hexa update. Now tata is 3rd biggest car brand in india after suzuki and hyundai, tata has surely changed lot. We own a xuv w11, but we were going for safari storm 4*4 before buying xuv but we heard of service issues which stopped us to get a safari. Now we are again planning for a hexa or harrier but we will wait for about 6 months to see how tata performs and will they be to able to do justice to harrier and hexa's service

I bought Tata hexa 2months ago and few days ago the car went in a minor pothole and it resulted in burst of both the tyres on left hand side . We went to complain the dealer and after a lot of struggle they agreed to change 1 tyre , but we wanted them to change both the tyres as the car is not a toy whose tyre will burst so easily and that too within two months . They directly said no to change the other tyre . Then we went to mrf dealership and told them about the problem and they told us that there are many complaints coming about the same problem as there is problem with the rim of car which results in easy bursting of the tyre and they even have contacted tata about this but tata is not doing anything about it. And even our acquaintance who own tata hexa suffered from the same problem . The car has 19inch tyre which costs 15k and it feels bad to waste money after a purchase of a 20lacs car !! Tata should do something about this
