I personally find it remarkable that fine silver can be used. I always thought fine silver was too soft.

Тот же чайник в китае: 1 секундаина глубокую штамровку и 1 минута на вытяжку на токарном станке, 1 минута припаять носик и ушки для ручки, пара секунд штампануть крышку, полчаса полировки

I was also amazed and amazed at the part where every part of the silver kettle was made by hand during filming :)

This is how things were made, by hand with minimal amount of machinery. It is wonderful and inspiring to see that manual hand crafts are still being practised and appreciated today.

Het tussengloeien van het zilver zorgt dat het bewerkt kan worden. Er wordt regelmatig afgelost in vitriool ( verdund zwavelzuur) en geneutraliseerd in water met ammoniak.

WOW, is it pure silver or some silver alloy? Cant see at the beginning... looks a bit like 99.9, but not sure. I love silver things, I use silver cups, spoons... I made few simple small things, but this is another level, another planet... just WOW

It would be helpful to craftsman watching if you said what kind of flux and solder was used, and other important details like that. Part of documenting this history and preserving it for the future is including the necessary information to replicate the process.
As you mentioned, a more detailed process would play a great role in preserving it for future generations, but there are cases of abuse of it, so it is not easy to open all parts. If you are interested, please contact us separately or visit us :)

can someone explain the welding process? why do they heat the whole part and what is that liquid they put at the welding seam?
Why make a tea pot from silver? It is the most conductive naturally appearing material we know of! Do I miss something here?
I don't know the reason, but isn't the reason silver is used as a kettle because it reacts to toxic substances? A kettle made of silver has a pretty design, right? I guess it depends on what you think.

Très bon travail de ce chaudronnier d’art. Le chauffage/refroidissement a l’eau s’appelle le recuit. Il est destiné à relâcher les molécules tassées par le martelage de forme. Le recuit est employé sur tous les métaux mous; il est crucial sur les métaux mous, alu, cuivre, étain, or, argent.

As a metalworker that uses a lot of the same skills seen here, i can say that this level of expertise is very rare.
I've spent most of my life learning these techniques and i couldn't do some of the things shown here.
The actual welds performed (not the soldering) for example, where he makes a flat sheet into a cylinder, the level of skill and experience required to do that is crazy. It's known as autogenous welding. I can do it with a tig welder and i know some aluminium car restoration is done with an oxy-acetylene torch, but to do it with a large open flame like that burner he's using, just amazing. The hammering i could manage, but i don't think i could ever do that weld reliably.

I'm not sure, but if you use a silver kettle, it changes color in response to liquid containing harmful substances, so wouldn't it sometimes be beneficial to your health? And you'll feel good :)
How come the silver doesn't tarnish during annealing / soldering? Is it Argentinum Silver?
I don't know the details, but he continued to process chemicals from time to time and adjusted the intensity of the fire while soldering.
Why do you need to melt the brick of silver then put it into a brick mold?
I don't know the exact reason, but I think it was to remove any impurities that might be on the silver and spread it well by applying heat to the silver. Just my thoughts :)

Love the way the Japanese culture tends to have more people inclined to have the desire to learn more of the traditional methods of manufacture than alot of other cultures i've observed.
