Wish you would put camera were we can see you feed rod into puddle. Your videos are very helpful thanks
High quality arc shots, and a good video on exactly how I feed rod and target the puddle is explained in detail at www.6061.com
If anything isn't answered on the website, feel free to email me.
Thanks,
Aaron
Aaron - that was a Master Class in the issues involved when fusion (autogenous) welding 6061!
Hi Ron!
Thanks
Imagine having Ron Covell comment on your video. Aaron you lucky bigger 😆🤩
I cannot possibly tell you how much I enjoy your Tips and Tricks videos! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us and for all the time and effort you put into producing, publishing and sharing these videos!
I cant tell you how much I enjoy you TALKING and explaining things. All good information
Yes. It really is a massive improvement over the years of videos without narration, even though they had their own charm.
Didnt expect it to be that strong. Very impressive.
When I have to do Tig aluminum, its always 6061. Even a small tack weld cracks immediately without touching it. Therefore i use your trick with the ''first a small dap of filler rod on one piece and than let it flow into the other piece''
Dude ive learned everything i know about aluminum gtaw from you. paid into the website probably close to 7 years ago? i have 2 different tigbuttons growing from syncrowave to dynasty machines. thanks for speaking my language, man. i owe a lot of my success to your channel.
Thanks for welding in real time. It really makes a difference for the untrained or new guy to realize things do not move at You Tube speed in real life. Machining too. Yeah I know it's to not put everyone to sleep so you can see a whole process etc... But there are different ways to edit and show the same result. You sir are a master of conveying information in a great way.
Great video! Yup, I was always taught that when you add the filler rod, the two alloys (filler and base metal) mix with each other in the weld pool and the dilution of the base metal prevents the hot shortness and cracking. So when you do a fusion weld (no filler) with the two different alloys, like your 6061 and 5052, it's the same principle.
I love that button! once I get a tig rig. That is the only thing I will use. I could see where it would come in really handy for building roll cages in the car. I have seen some very interesting maneuvers.
Love these quick run ups. So much info of someone pays attention.
This is brilliant... Love this longer format..
Love your attitude about it depends on what your building! Sometimes pretty is more important than pure strength.
I love the tig button. Dave just recently warrantied my box and i bought a new button and lead while i was at it. Tig button is an amazing product.
I use the Plantex Tigershark flap discs with Kangaru oil. The oil also works with the burrs. The removal is super fast, with no loading!
always fantastic, really appreciate all you do with TH-cam and share with us....Paul down in Florida
Moore good stuff eh? Thanks! I see lots of utility in joining those two-also the "super lap" technique is a really good one that would have taken me a year or three to work out on my own. I learned to (fusion) weld with O/A before I learned to arc weld and do like when a fillerless join can be utilized without undue compromise.
Is it okay to watch your channel even if I do not have a welder and work in IT?
Hope so, 'cause me too!
Sounds like youd enjoy to weld as a hobby!
Thanks again Aaron for yet another tips and tricks video, I really appreciate it.
It seems like your use of the welder's pulse mode was mainly for appearance reasons, to exaggerate the stacked dimes look, and not out of necessity, which is a valid reason for sure. I almost never use pulse, even for very thin sheet, and get as much or little heat as needed by using the pedal. Maybe I'm lazy, maybe I have trouble forcing my movements to match the welder's timing, and maybe I just don't understand when pulse preferred or necessary. Could you please do a video on how you make that decision and pick the timing? Thanks!
why would anyone give a thumbs down ?
this guy is a legend
Typical trolls or people who don't like being proven wrong. Like the dude telling the master how not to fusion weld
Hearing more about the purpose of your mobile setup would be interesting. Are you a metal mercenary for hire and travels to customers or race teams for a certain amount of time or something?
I mostly mig and stick weld but am also going to try this with no filler rod. I'll make a video.
Damn not only structurally solid, it's like an art piece, love the tips and tricks! Thank you : )
I watch your videos from Italy! I congratulate you well done!👍
bro. on a roll with the vids!
Excellent presentation. Thank you. Really enjoyed this one.
Nice video, very informative and useful.
Excellent video, love your work, knowledge and willingness to share that amazing knowledge.
Nice to see these TnT vids, hope TH-cam is treating you ok.
Great video Aron I’m a big fan
DEADLY video.
Great video sir
Nicely done. Would you be able to add settings you used and welder brand. I sub to your website and learned a lot, but extra info like ( frequency , EP , EN, AMPS ) never hurts. Thanks in advance.
Miller Dynasty 350 in this video. Same settings as explained in the first part of the website.
Great tips, thank you.
AskMrJoey i cant believe you thought you knew what you were talking about . To Question this man is Futile
Your eyeball is more consistent that my straightedge!
Thanks for the information.👍
I've been tig welding for over 10yrs, you make ally fusion tacks look easy, I've always struggled with them. Any tips. Might make a good vid. Cheers from Australia
Good Channel. Thank you.
Excellent video and well explained 👍
Hot 6061 has very low strength until it cools below 350°F. When the weld is cooling, it develops large tensile stress and typically fractures. Yes, preheat helps.
Excellent information & video! Thanks!
Beautiful work 👏
Boop... I'd love to see topics on, "what happens if you do this..."
Cheers!
Please give me examples
Thanks
Keep the videos coming
Very nice 👍
I find small end mill bits work pretty good for aluminum, but it definitely takes a steady trained hand, and I wouldn't recommend for someone with no experience or respect for tools lol
👍 Thank You
Speaking of using weight. What is the multicolored weight I have seen in your videos made of? The one with almost a zebra pattern to the metal. Have always wanted to know. Thanks!
Aaron , Great video, I am planning on welding up a 6061 x 1/4 25 gal gas tank, I am wondering if I should weld the inside and outside of the tank or would I be over welding it and creating problems???? Thanks Pete
Most professionals would ask a few questions first and not jump to conclusions.
Smokin!
autogenous welding, hot shortness
merci
J’aurais aimer que vous utilisiez cette machine hitbox HBT250P AC/DC premier prix et avoir votre avis en tant que professionnel
