SPM credits are more fun when you play the game and learn the story for some reason like its fun theme that plays when you saved every world and your main partner disappeared and then the game spotlighted many parts of your adventure with happy music
As much as I didn't enjoy Sticker Star or Color Splash. They have some of the best credits in the series. Especially Color Splash I mean... damn that music makes me feel like I'm watching a Disney parade
Color Splash had the best credits imo. SPM not only has my favorite credits music in Paper Mario, it has my favorite credits theme in all of gaming (from what I heard)
SPM > CS > TTYD > SS > N64 N64 - Interesting but not that special though. The instruments sound kinda off. SS - Really dig the music, while it is calm, it still has charm. TTYD - I'm surprised this is in 3rd place as well. The song really brings out that your adventure has ended. You also get to see all the character at you encountered. Color Splash - I'm surprised that this is in 2nd Place as well. The music is pretty great! Really great! And I love how it shows the locations! (Well Sticker Star did it too) Super Paper Mario - Sniff... This music is just beautifully done. The music is bittersweet, showing that you'll never get to experience such an adventure like this one, EVER. I don't care about the transitions... It still shows all about the story in such a short amount of time.
I would say color splash is more underrated because there are people who only see it as a sticker star sequel and only that, not having more variety of NPCS, and not being a carbon-copy of the first two paper mario games with different graphics and gameplay. (Seriously there are some people who would get offended if you like Color Splash.) SPM more got a pass because of decent overall story in their eyes and a call-back to the older mario games of the past.
Super Paper Mario's credits reigns supreme over all the others imo. The music, and that it shows screenshots much like a storybook. Best credits, and best Paper Mario game out of all 5 Paper Mario games.
@@naturalnumber2370 I agree with Roses that super paper Mario’s gameplay is dog shit. Did you know that in Paper Mario Sticker Star, there are Hidden Luigis across the levels. If you manage to find all of the places he has gone to, he will lead the parade, instead of the Green Toad. 🤔
@Red Force generic not terrible. Terrible is a word that can be used to describe a poorly executed story, generic is the right word for describing the lack of story in Sticker Star & Color Splash
I like how Sticker Star and Color Splash have these parades for their credits sequence in homage to the original Paper Mario credits that also has a parade (which in turn is a homage to the credits sequence to Super Mario RPG, which also is a parade). ...I kinda wish Thousand Year Door and Super Paper Mario also used parades like these, instead of... slideshows? At least the TTYD remake kinda fixes that with a mixture of the two combined with a stage rollcall.
When you realize he is technically just a child compared to the other bosses, it sort makes sense. The kid was only doing what he thought was right(helping someone), and didn’t know what he was doing wasn’t ok. It explains why his performance is the only one not interrupted or mess with by others, because everyone knows it wasn’t his fault. He was just doing what any good kid would do. Being a kid, he probably thought “Bowser’s an adult and adults are always right!”
People seem to think that sticker star was to be considered bad because it went off of the usual “paper mario” motif. Mainly just that partners weren’t in the game and that battle mechanics were opperated by stickers. Personally, i didn’t mind too much on it. Yeah it kinda sucked that you didn’t have other character with you, other then kersti and, besides the sticker warping thing and act as a sort of guide, she didn’t do much in it. Super mario galaxy was a test to see how well the game would work with mario being effected by different changes in gravity. The new odyssey allowed players to take over enemies and see how they would react and also allowed the players to complete a goal their own way, by taking the path given or creating their own. Even paper mario was an experiment to see how well the game would be and how well the players would react if it had rpg styled battle mechanics in it. Sticker star wasn’t completely perfect, but not everything can be. It was simply an experiment to try sonething new. Because these games were made to be loved, not abolished.
It's not just that the battle system was different. It was just bad. There was also a lack of story, characters, diversity, creativity, dialogue ect. Don't get me wrong, it did have some good parts, but overall, Sticker Star is just a below-average game. To be honest, Color Splash fixed a lot of Sticker Star's mistakes. There's actually a purpose to battling, there's more dialogue, ect.
My opinion of the credits... 1) Super Paper Mario - The Best Game with the Best Story, Characters, and Soundtrack, along with Credits 2) Color Splash - Say what you will about Color Splash, the credits are great! I love the compilation of all the themes! 3) Paper Mario 64 - This one is nice. 4) Origami King - I like this tune, even though not present here. Loved the game. 5) The Thousand-Year Door - Seems a bit bland to me. Just my opinion. It's the only Paper Mario I haven't played so I don't have the memories to go with it. 6) Sticker Star - Don't get me started Also it said Ninendo 2001 on Paper Mario but it was released in 2000, so was this version showed from a different country that got the game later?

Now the origami king is released. Here are my rankings for the credits themes: 1-color splash 2- the origami king 3-sticker star 4-super paper mario 5-64 6-ttyd
Beyond late but I might aswell share my 2 cent. TOK > SS > N64 > CS > TTYD > SPM SPM - This one, in my opinion, is beyond overrated. The music is good and all but not good enough to make me want to sit through a slideshow, which is criminal because the game deserves so much better. TTYD - Another slideshow, the only thing that puts this ahead is the better visuals and the song change at the end is just a MASSIVE tear jerker, and i dont even have the nostalgia for the game to pull tears from. CS/N64 - Out of the 3 parade preswnt in this video (post origami king), this one, I could go back and forth with N64 on, they both do the same things but inverse: Cs has the better music, N64 has the better visual. SS - The game is mediocre but what you have to admit is the soundtrack. This credots theme has the best music EASILY, pair that with the Paper Mario Parade that has visuals slightly better than CS and it makes for an incredible credits sequence. TOK - ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, I havent even played Origami King and its just bewildering. The music is just as good with outstanding visuals and they threw in the slideshow just because they could. Seeing each of the locations as Luigi drives him and Mario home is just great, easily peak credit sequencing.
Yeah those games are amazing. I personally like Super Paper Mario the best, though, due to its dark turn of the literal end of the world, in a dark and saddening way. I get LoZ did this in Majora's mask, but that's LoZ, those games generally can be dark. But this is Mario. SPM just has the best story in the whole Paper Mario series. But I respect your opinion
Super paper mario is the last GOOD paper mario game. Ok internet, disagree away. But you cant change my opinion. I mean, why all of a sudden does every character realise theyre made of paper? Its dumb man. If we get a paper mario game with TTYDS gameplay and SPMs music and story, ill DIE of happiness.
I’ve noticed something. The better the game is, the more mid the credits get TTYD= boring credits, best paper Mario game SPM= better credits than TTYD barely, 2nd best paper Mario game Origami and PM64 = aight credits, aight game Color splash and sticker star= THE BEST CREDITS, worst games
I want a paper Mario game where the companion like kersti, and huey, would turn against Mario and be like the actual final boss. BOOM PLOT TWIST. haven't had one since super paper Mario
Kersti would have been appropriate, since she was a total pain in the neck. She could have taken all 6 royal sticker before Mario used her as a sticker at the end to return to the Sticker Star, and suddenly be corrupted by them.
Honestly I think Paper Mario 64 is the only game with really good ending credits, having great visuals, music, AND making you fondly remember the journey you've been on. The Thousand Year Door is dragged down by not being very appealing to look at, though I like the idea of showing everyone's silhouettes. Super Paper Mario has the best ending song by far, but the lack of any visual spectacle is a minus. Sticker Star and Color Splash have the same issue, in that the visuals and music are fine, but the lack of characters makes it hard to care.
@@Gamebuilder2000 What characters? One of Color Splash's biggest flaws is the total lack of any unique characters. Origami King seems to have the same problem, which is why I think the game is gonna be just as bad as Color Splash was.
@@dobadobadooo What do you mean, aside from Huey, there's the Rescue V, The Key Toads(Justice Toad, The Mountain Sage and the surfer), The Pirate Captain, The Legendary Captain, The Lighthkuse Keeper, The Professor, Princess, The Train Conductor, The Chef, The Toad Trainworks Manager, The Energy Plant Scientist, Know-it-All Toad, the Wringer, The Ghost Toads, Piper's friends all with their own personality, and that's not even counting the more Minor characters, like Barista Toad, The Oceanfest Event Manager, The Rescue Squad Members, of which there are over 150 all having their own unique dialouge, there's also the Mountain Peak Manager Guy, Action Toad, the Newspaper Toad, the bridge builder, the bridge expert expert, The Mustard Cafe owner, the sniffit or whiffit host and I alost Forgot, the Big Paint Stars themselves are characters as well too. Almost if not all of these characters appeared in the parade, now you can say they are all toads, or they aren't memorable But I didn't look up any of these characters i remembered them fron the journey, which means they WERE memorable Plus, Princess, Piper, that one existensial shy guy from the sunset express, The Sniffit or Whiffit Host, and the Big Paint Stars are not Toads And Heuy too but whatever Also there's the Koopalings, who actually have their own developed personalities here that you may as well call them actual characters now instead of just boss fodder, like in the platformers Also Actually the abundance of generic toads make the important and unique toads and other characters actually stand out, and more memorable All these characters are well written too, so yes, Color Splash has characters....don't know about Sticker Star though.....
@@Gamebuilder2000 Wow, I could not disagree with you more. Like, barely any of these characters have unique appearances, much less names. The Koopalings, aside from being the most lazy villains you could use in a game like this, also feel way inferior to their appearance in paper Jam, where they at least appeared multiple times and did more than being a generic boss at the end of the dungeon. And no, these "characters" aren't well-written, they give you a joke and leave. Like, Color Splash's cast was literally nothing but jokes, no personality or memorability to be found. Good for you that you found them memorable, doesn't change the fact that Nintendo seems to on _principle_ want as little creativity and personality to their shitty new Paper Mario games as possible. I'm sorry for how salty this is gonna sound, but honestly, hearing you gush over one of the most mediocre games I've ever played annoys the shit out of me. It's people like you that encourage Nintendo to keep using the shitty formula they've been using since Sticker Star, where the plot is so weak it can be summarized in a single sentence, and characters are pretty much non-existent. Now we're getting Origami King, which is the third time in a fucking row they're doing this shit. I'm sure you'll love it, since apparently it takes nothing but a few jokes for you to say a Paper Mario game is good, but anyone who wants a good story and, I don't know, a cast with NAMES is obviously not getting it this time either. Again, I'm sorry for being so salty about it, but I don't think I've ever hated a game as much as Color Splash, and now with Origami King being announced as the third time they're gonna follow Sticker Stars shitty formula, it just pisses me off to see you so happy for a game as shallow as Color Splash was.
@@dobadobadooo Not really, their personality isn't just jokes, that's blatently false, The Wringer's personality is a shady dealer who has the goods, Justice Toad is a hero wannabe, who acts like he's a hero and really tries, The Know-it-all toad acts like a Smart Aleck, and speaks in Riddles, and that's just the tip of the iceberg to say any of the major characters I listed say one joke and leave is blatantly false, the only characters where that might be the case is the Bridge Expert Expert, and the members of the rescue squad that aren't the leader, otherwise just wrong, not to mention none of the Toad's that are Piper's friends(who all have names) make any jokes really, they all just reminesce of their time with their old friend, also all of the major toads that actually matter aside from maybe the Proffessor and the energy plant scientest to have different designs than other toads, basically they all have actually different personalities, but this should be obvious to anyone who pays attention to the dialogue Also chill out, don't get pissed off because people like a game, it's not that big of a deal, it really, really isn't, it's not like Origami king is going to have the battle elements of CS anyways, and definitely won't have the koopalings as bosses either considering they are Paper Characters and the villains are all origami
@@arek.k8688 I wouldn’t call SPM’s credits good. It’s just still images of stuff you’ve already seen over a black void background. The credits with the parades are way more interesting and entertaining to watch
Idk why everyone hates TTYD's credits like the visuals are pretty meh but the music really ends it well, like it sounds so airy and floaty, like riding the blimp or more accurately, sailing away from rogueport. It really gives a final, happy feeling. But the visuals are wack lol

The TTYD credits are so amazing. They're minimalist with only black and white sure, but the music is just incredible. The N64 credits are next followed by Super, Sticker Star and Color Splash.
I've never played Sticker Star so can someone tell me if the whole art style of the game follows the one presented in the credits? With all objects attached to the background? I kinda liked it
@@Mqstodon that is if you look past the crap battle system and the sorry excuse of a partner character that was called kersti with her paper-thin personality (pun intended) and the fact that despite being the main antagonist bowser has zero lines in ss and enough toads to populate manhattan twice over
I just have one complaint : you should have put Super Mario RPG's staff roll, because you find the same idea of the parade with all characters (even with Luigi at first ! ) which inspired Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario Sticker Star and Paper Mario Color Splash (their staff rolls are an evolution from Super Mario RPG's staff roll).
Super Paper Mario may be flawed in gameplay, but the story and charm of all the characters certainly brings it up farther than any other Paper Mario game in my opinion. If we could have the gameplay of TTYD and the story of SPM in a new Paper Mario game, i’m telling you, it’d be the best in the series.
Can’t pick a favorite, I love all the Paper Mario credits themes (except for TTYD, I really dislike that one…). But if I had to pick a close winner, it’d be either Sticker Star or the OG 64. SPM and TOK are lovely, but stand on equal footing and feel less exciting than my two favorites. Color Splash is beautiful, but I like it solely for its beginning and ending alone. One thing’s true for all six of them though: So nostalgic… 🥲

@@Atom-se7ve spm has the best music, color splash is the king of the visuals
Now the origami king is released. Here are my rankings for the credits themes:
1-color splash
2- the origami king
3-sticker star
4-super paper mario
5-64
6-ttyd
In the other hand for the credit scenes here are also my rankings:
1-color splash
2-64
3-sticker star
4-the origami king
5-super paper mario
6- ttyd
In my opinion the ttyd ones are the most uninspired and boring it’s just pictures and that’s really it and the music doesn’t really seem interesting
Anyone else think the first Paper Mario credits drag on. And this is why I think Nintendo cares more about the music then the actual games.
Paper mario color splash best music credits
Beyond late but I might aswell share my 2 cent.
TOK > SS > N64 > CS > TTYD > SPM
SPM - This one, in my opinion, is beyond overrated.
Seeing each of the locations as Luigi drives him and Mario home is just great, easily peak credit sequencing.
i like sticker star and color splash most, nobody will change my mind
Yeah those games are amazing. I personally like Super Paper Mario the best, though, due to its dark turn of the literal end of the world, in a dark and saddening way. I get LoZ did this in Majora's mask, but that's LoZ, those games generally can be dark. But this is Mario. SPM just has the best story in the whole Paper Mario series. But I respect your opinion
Super paper mario is the last GOOD paper mario game. Ok internet, disagree away. But you cant change my opinion. I mean, why all of a sudden does every character realise theyre made of paper? Its dumb man. If we get a paper mario game with TTYDS gameplay and SPMs music and story, ill DIE of happiness.
agree, even though the gameplay was different it was still amazing
Yeah nk
It'z incredibly bad, and one of the worst mario gamds
The story aint even that special
You can tell paper Mario is a sequel when Luigi is again leading a parade
god the ttyd credits are so boring compared to the others
Yea
Agreed
The music is nice to listen to tho
I’ve noticed something. The better the game is, the more mid the credits get
TTYD= boring credits, best paper Mario game
SPM= better credits than TTYD barely, 2nd best paper Mario game
Origami and PM64 = aight credits, aight game
Color splash and sticker star= THE BEST CREDITS, worst games
Well, now they're way better lmao
SPM > SS > CS > TTYD > 64 credits wise if you ask me
I think for me I would put color splash and sticker star on equal terms but I agree with this
(Context for watchers: the Switch's name wouldn't be announced until 9 days after this video's release)
The parades for 1 and color splash are fun to watch
I'm well aware this video was uploaded in 2016, but, IMO, TOKs credits is possibly at least a tied first place with SPM or CS.
I want a paper Mario game where the companion like kersti, and huey, would turn against Mario and be like the actual final boss. BOOM PLOT TWIST. haven't had one since super paper Mario
Tippi didn't turn against Mario in super paper Mario
Kersti would have been appropriate, since she was a total pain in the neck.
She could have taken all 6 royal sticker before Mario used her as a sticker at the end to return to the Sticker Star, and suddenly be corrupted by them.
#Crazy but Cool I think they meant that there hasn’t been a real plot twist since spm
"The classic Paper Mario it is and always will be the best game I have ever played"
-Me
Then you didn't play many games, cause 64 isn't that amazing of an rpg
Good, but not greay
The fuck did you quote yourself for
bruv has not played any good rpgs
LESTON is in it
Honestly I think Paper Mario 64 is the only game with really good ending credits, having great visuals, music, AND making you fondly remember the journey you've been on.
But Color Splash's credits do have all the charactersy you've met along the way....
Almost if not all of these characters appeared in the parade, now you can say they are all toads, or they aren't memorable
But I didn't look up any of these characters i remembered them fron the journey, which means they WERE memorable
Plus, Princess, Piper, that one existensial shy guy from the sunset express, The Sniffit or Whiffit Host, and the Big Paint Stars are not Toads
And Heuy too but whatever
Also there's the Koopalings, who actually have their own developed personalities here that you may as well call them actual characters now instead of just boss fodder, like in the platformers
Also Actually the abundance of generic toads make the important and unique toads and other characters actually stand out, and more memorable
All these characters are well written too, so yes, Color Splash has characters....don't know about Sticker Star though.....
@@dobadobadooo Not really, their personality isn't just jokes, that's blatently false, The Wringer's personality is a shady dealer who has the goods, Justice Toad is a hero wannabe, who acts like he's a hero and really tries, The Know-it-all toad acts like a Smart Aleck, and speaks in Riddles, and that's just the tip of the iceberg to say any of the major characters I listed say one joke and leave is blatantly false, the only characters where that might be the case is the Bridge Expert Expert, and the members of the rescue squad that aren't the leader, otherwise just wrong, not to mention none of the Toad's that are Piper's friends(who all have names) make any jokes really, they all just reminesce of their time with their old friend, also all of the major toads that actually matter aside from maybe the Proffessor and the energy plant scientest
to have different designs than other toads, basically they all have actually different personalities, but this should be obvious to anyone who pays attention to the dialogue
Also chill out, don't get pissed off because people like a game, it's not that big of a deal, it really, really isn't, it's not like Origami king is going to have the battle elements of CS anyways, and definitely won't have the koopalings as bosses either considering they are Paper Characters and the villains are all origami
So uh, the more hated the game was, the better the credits I guess.
Then why SPM credits good when game is one of three best
@@arek.k8688 I wouldn’t call SPM’s credits good. It’s just still images of stuff you’ve already seen over a black void background. The credits with the parades are way more interesting and entertaining to watch
@@arek.k8688 it really isn't
It's by far ths worst by a loooooong shot
@@Mqstodon you mean the game?
Cuz SS, CS and maybe TOK are worse
@@arek.k8688"I don't like modern games so their end credits are shit"
I kinda want a Paper Mario All Stars game, with Paper Mario, Paper Mario TTYD, and Super Paper Mario
They should that for paper Mario 64s 25th anniversary which is either 2025 or 2026
Probably not going to happen now, unfortunately
They released a remake of TTYD for the switch
64: Great
TTYD: The best
Super: Good
Sticker Star: Garbage
Colour Splash: Fine
Origami King: Haven't played it
I’ve sadly never played ttyd but it looks fun. but BOY is the credits boring
In my opinion the TTYD credits along with the song gives it a mystical touch.
@WhinyDogFish that comment was about the games not the credits, but it doesn't make sense that I put it on this video
Ywah no
Ttyd is a step down from 64, and sticker star is a pretty good game
@WhinyDogFish TTYD was kind of nostslgic is the paper mario but the less interesting credits
Memories.
Idk why everyone hates TTYD's credits like the visuals are pretty meh but the music really ends it well, like it sounds so airy and floaty, like riding the blimp or more accurately, sailing away from rogueport. It really gives a final, happy feeling. But the visuals are wack lol
its really unmemorable
The game us a masterpiece but the credits are meh.
The music from TTYD *cry*
Its the best Game ever..
paper mario: it do anim in japan creators in ground & star gate. is going enemies, all enemies!!
paper mario the thousand year door: not realy fun the personajes are in shadow
super paper mario:??????????????????????????
paper mario sticker star:?????????????????????
paper mario color splash:??????????????????????????
mario land Yes et the ketchup is in the trash
Eh what
i love parades
This gets me wondering what Paper Mario Origami Kings credits will look like? And how good the music will be.
SPOILERS ALERT
Mario and *Weegee* rides in Luigi's Cart with images showing up
64 has the best credits
64/SS/CS/TTYDR- parade
TTYD-parade in black screen + images of the events of the game
SPM-images of the events of the game
TOK-Mario and Luigi driving home +images of events following the events of the game
color splash had the best ending, lets all admit it....
Kirby Games Animation ッ it does... And I'm quite a fan of the game!
Kirby Games Animation ッ it does, amazing music and animation.
of course
Not really, I prefer SPM for the ending
Super is my fav
Super paper mario is the best

1. Og
2. Color
3. Sticker
4. Thousand
5. Super
Again supers still is good just the weakest
Tok?
Spm is good
Paper jam bros?
The TTYD credits are so amazing. They're minimalist with only black and white sure, but the music is just incredible. The N64 credits are next followed by Super, Sticker Star and Color Splash.
En TTYD salen todos menos las shadows sirens :V
A partir del minuto 11:20 salen las tres.
I've never played Sticker Star so can someone tell me if the whole art style of the game follows the one presented in the credits? With all objects attached to the background? I kinda liked it
Mostly, yeah.
Yup
It's really not that bad of a game, ttyd fans just hate because of nostalgia, you should try it
@@Mqstodon I agree
@@Mqstodon that is if you look past the crap battle system and the sorry excuse of a partner character that was called kersti with her paper-thin personality (pun intended) and the fact that despite being the main antagonist bowser has zero lines in ss and enough toads to populate manhattan twice over
Best credits are the originals.
Memory
I hope origami king surpasses all of this
Stu Pickles agree. It should be like Mario odyssey
Well...
@@seroujghazarian6343 it did, it's one of the best paper mario games
Macoto 2012-2021!?
I just have one complaint : you should have put Super Mario RPG's staff roll, because you find the same idea of the parade with all characters (even with Luigi at first ! ) which inspired Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario Sticker Star and Paper Mario Color Splash (their staff rolls are an evolution from Super Mario RPG's staff roll).
Super Paper Mario may be flawed in gameplay, but the story and charm of all the characters certainly brings it up farther than any other Paper Mario game in my opinion. If we could have the gameplay of TTYD and the story of SPM in a new Paper Mario game, i’m telling you, it’d be the best in the series.
good cool
Thanks
aWiibo Can you play paper mario TTYD on wii u?

The Emerald Journals Well I mean, hardware limitations and stuff
Not like that, I just mean like the presentation and the music
Masterpiece but whit the worst credits
So sad :(
Can’t pick a favorite, I love all the Paper Mario credits themes (except for TTYD, I really dislike that one…).
