Another tip : Give MinerSystem chips to your AI Miners , +at early game give them MiningLasers then switch to the raw ones and create a loop for them (don't forget to give them a storage).
I've been doing that and it's given me tons of resources! I seldom do any manual mining anymore - I explore in my fighting ship and when I find a system rich in resources I order my mining barge in. It mines until it's full, jumps to the nearest resource depot, refines and repeats. Easy money.
@@HeadHunterSix That's great, I never put this information in due to not wanting to overload someone starting out in the game, do you think I should have added it into the video?
I was mining a 440k xanion asteroid with trinium manual R mining turrets the other night and it took thirty minutes and even with a 97% turret 100,000 of it was still lost. That was painful. I'm also not finding any independent targeting R mining turrets.
Lets go man thanks for the down to earth chat about the game. I just picked it up today and I have zero idea what to do, about 40% of your video I can grasp at the moment but - all in all it was very helpful. Thanks! Seen ya posted a new video for newbs like me, bout to check it out. Cheers!
I've had this game for a week now, and have slightly different advice mining is boring, and that's a good thing you don't have to do it yourself let the ai do it for you, this is what you do at every station. you can hire people find one this has a captain get that guy on your miningship press the T button get in the drone. now you can order the miningship to do you mining build a second ship now or find a shipyard and buy one for yourself and explored
im having so much trouble. im not able to collect any resources. pop ups keep telling me my ship is too weak, but i cant afford to get more turrets or anything because when i mine iron and try to sell it it doesnt appear in my cargo. when i try to refine the iron it just disappears. havent seen any aliens to fight or anything. just a big void of iron that i cant collect or sell. im completely lost lol. i do the things everyone does in these tutorials, but im not getting anything.
What turrets are they? Mining turrets or R-Mining turrets? You should have 2 of the mining turrets to begin with. What is in you inventory? Are you still in the starter zone?
@@gary0073 i figured out that after you refine materials it leaves the cargo inventory and is located at the top left. i ended up having TONS of materials. wish it was a little clearer that that was the case but i got it all figured out and im now building my first titanium ship! thanks for the help though!
@@kotababy8008 Great News! Best of luck. I have more video's about the game if you wanted to know more and I am working on one on how to make credits in Avorion. Shamful self promotion I know lol.
It not a mod I was talking about in the video, How you activate auto fire, please view below steps, Go into ship menu, select Ship. Assign a number to your weapon or weapons (if you want to group them up). Exit back to / Resume game play. Hold Shift down and move your mouse over the weapon options at the bottom of the screen and assign/select auto fire. You can do this for point defence weapons as well but it's better to have them on Defensive [Fighters, Torpedoes]. Sorry for the late reply.. I hope this helps
Didn't noticed you used only independent targeting turrets. Yes works only for independent targeting turrets anyway. But is not efficient, it's time consuming and sometimes frustrating. Also your presence in system attracts pirates and aliens that may oneshots you in tge worst case. The most efficient way to mine is automine with AI. So hide your drone inside a station, then tactical map and chain commands around all scouted sectors where there are asteroids to mine with NORMAL TARGETING turrets. This can be done afk and improves like x3 the yeld rate on standard personal mining actions. Best way is to build a 2 slot mini miner with a captain and 3 miners, to install a basic mining module and a hyperdrive core. Apply the 2 best mining turrets (not the r-miner ones). Put the auto miner on the job. Wait for yelds. While enough yeld for cash and material build another one and add him to the queue. In meantime scout your way through system in search for claimable asteroids to sell and look for, your well suggested, sneaky scratch on pirates.
@@simonemieli3437 this is all very helpful information, I didn't bring this up because I didn't want to over load a new player coming into the game. Just wanted to help them get started first. The best tip for new players, function over beauty... your first few ships are gonna look ugly af but they need to work

@@gary0073 Not necessarily to an introductory video like this one, but the topic of a mining fleet would make an interesting video itself.

Do those mining upgrades let you see the lower grade materials, or are they ONLY for the material thye list on the upgrade?
