A more traditional style heavyweight boxer like Joshua will be a different proposition for Francis. I, like everyone else, has no idea what will happen, and I want Francis to win, but styles make fights and it may be that Fury was the perfect match up style wise for Francis. Jeez I hope they make that fight

The most impressive thing was Ngannous patience and ability to take punches.
He didn't react to Tyson's feints, so Tyson had a difficult time gauging him.
Also please do remember that Tyson has a history of fighting "down" to his opponent's level, he nearly lost to John McDermott a few years back.

If Ngannou fights Joshua and wins it'll solidify his record , lets have Ngannou Johsua, Ngannou Wilder, Ngannou Fury 2, Ngannou Usyk.
There is a reason Tyson didn't do much, he likely felt the ridiculous power of Francis and realized he had a problem on his hands. He is a freak of nature. Endurance, speed, huge bone structure, largest muscles of any natural athlete, probably has crazy tendon strength, mentally tough, incredibly athletic.... Next fight Francis will be an even better boxer.
Exactly what I said. When Tyson got put on his arse his face said it all, not only that he was still shook up when the bell went and he was in the corner. That's when he was told to stay back and don't try anything fancy just keep the hits and score points. Francis, now the only criticism I have is that when he put Tyson down, he lost track of the plan a little and wanted to put him down again for good and that cost him points that if he kept to the script and used his defense and made Tyson come to him. Then he would of had the chance to floor him in the 8th. But he took Tysons bait and followed him around the ring. Besides that he was outstanding. Tyson and AJ should be next, let FRANCIS get a few more fights under his belt and at the end of 2024. The big event. AJ vs Francis. Now that's what I'm saying. No one deserves a chance at those belts more than AJ.

People saying Fury wasn't prepared, didn't take it seriously enough etc.. but he put in a 12 week camp, was reported to be sharper than ever by Parker when sparring (and Parker himself was in top shape to win the undercard fight by KO,) and he had visibly shredded weight between the press conference (where he was bloated to be honest) and the weigh in. He definitely prepared for this fight. I think the problem was, he knew he was facing a fighter with dangerous power, and his preparation was geared towards fighting someone with phenomenal power but not a significant level of basic boxing skills, and on the night he actually got both. AJ vs Ngannou may be a huge fight commercially, but likely to be a cagey points win or an early 4th loss for AJ. As a fan, for real entertainment value I would rather see Ngannou take on Zhileh Zang.
Ngannou needs the rematch with Fury before he fights Joshua. Ngannou already knows what to expect from Fury and the rematch will bring him more money than a fight with Joshua.
Knows what to expect? If Fury turns up like he did against Wilder 2, he’ll whoop Ngannou to a stoppage.

Mike Tyson used to go out there and ko elite heavyweights in the first couple rounds. Francis would of probably done that to Fury if he had more experience, he was just feeling it out, but now. I believe he finishes guys early, especially AJ!

Eddie actually looks 20 years younger after last weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if Francis takes Joshua's head off. This heavyweight era is weak and garbage along with the Klitschko era. So glad that Francis exposed Fury. He literally did better than Klitschko, Whyte, Chisora and 98% of other opponents except for McDermott who got badly robbed back in the days... Wallin got no rematch either.
Why would Wallin get a rematch? The guy wasn't even ranked in the top 1,000,000 back when Fury fought him. People only know Wallin due to Fury.

There's no way that AJ has either the power to put Francis down or the chin to withstand Francis' power shots. If the left hook that dropped Fury landed on AJ then he's going out cold.

@@DeanotalksLFC Personally don't think that was a wobble, more Francis being surprised by the fact that Stipe was still throwing back with power. If you watch the clip Francis' legs were solid he just took a step back when he realised Stipe could still throw good shots. And of course he then immediately KO'd stipe which I think backs up my case.
@@Inmyownleague So first I have to defend Francis chin. I've watched his whole MMA career and have seen him take many power shots and can count on one hand the times he's even reacted to being hit, and he's never been wobbled, let alone dropped. If anyone can take Wilder's shots it's Francis.
I agree that Ngannou struggles from the outside but I think we saw enough in this fight to know that he's devastating on the inside. Also I think that despite his age he can still improve at boxing and will be better in his next fight. If he can improve his entry into the pocket with movement and setup shots he's going to be vary hard to deal with for anyone.
As an MMA fan and a boxing fan I can tell you that Francis is probably the best naturally talented combat sports athlete I have even seen. I underestimated him in the Fury fight but will never do so again.

@@implodingllama2092 but look at fury when he’s down, he’s nowhere near as hurt as he was than when wilder hit him, it was similar to when Cunningham dropped him, he was up and fine, and I think fury’s punch resistance is worse now. Yeah ngannou hits hard but if wilder landed with 4oz gloves on against wrestlers they’d be out cold aswell, Ngannou is a puncher definitely but he’s not as explosive as Wilder, and I don’t even rate Wilder that high, people are getting carried away with Ngannou, plenty of top 20 heavyweights beat him, and plenty of them would’ve beat fury on Saturday, in fact most of the top 10 would’ve stopped him
