  • GeminEye here! In this video we'll go over how to use a Photoshop clipping mask for your character illustration process. Clipping masks can be utilized in many digital art programs and enable you to form a process that gives you control over your illustrations and Concept Art. In this instance you'll learn how to change the color of objects, skin, hair, and clothes as I use Photoshop to demonstrate this. We'll be applying this method to an illustration of the character 2B from the video game Nier Automata, and we'll be recreating some of the color schemes available to her as she appears in Grandblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Incorporate these methods into your art process and take your visual storytelling to the next level!

    I always doubt which technique to use when i do grayscale to color paintings. I didnt know color & linear burn blend modes could be used like that. Thanks for the tutorial!
