And in the end, Alex becomes the family witch (because she's a female wizard), Justin gets his own magic back as Professor Crumbs has retired, and Max gets the Sub station. Everyone's happy except for that guy who was in line for the WizTech professor. And if Max were the family wizard, he'd turn into his Uncle Kelbo

you are so right! with david's description of max being the wizard and jake's expressions, you could really tell that there was more to the interview than met the eyes :P everything was not as it seemed ;) *pun was totally intended*
It looks like Selena was the only one who smile&happy when the 3 of them sitting in the couch, David and Jake look really mad when they tell about each other's character or whatever you call them :)

Alex AND Justin will win and Max will be happy with the sandwitch shop so everybody wins.
Max will resent his fate many years later and take revenge on his entire family.
@kobra kitsch Bro yes I hope this is plot line for the reunion! I definitely felt Max got screwed and if he turns heel (becomes a bad guy) and gets his powers back, I hope the revenge will be historic to witness.😂 Besides, WE ALL know Max was pissed when they took his powers and he only got the Sub Shop. The expression on his face that part of the finale and even his body language, it told the entire story.
POOR MAX. He must have privately and deeply resented losing his wizard's powers to his older siblings. This may have contributed to his later public meltdown at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards when he was refused entry into the gifting suite because nobody recognized him anymore. POOR KID. There ought to be another TV reunion movie wherein a bitter and disillusioned Max turns evil and takes revenge on his family.

Man I, for sure, felt for Max because he deserved better. No doubt about it. It was plain as day that when Max got his powers taken away and he only got the Sub Shop, he was seething. His facial reaction showed that he genuinely felt like he got fucked over. Plus you add on everyone trying to hype him up, gas light him like getting the sandwich restaurant was this ALL-TIME great achievement? We all know that was some bullshit.😂
What an amazing ending. Terrific writing, really good acting, and a fantastic story! Justin gets to be with Juliet, and Alex gets to be with Mason, and Max gets the family sub station. Justin and Alex are full time wizards!!!! Thumbs up if you thought it was the BEST ending EVER!!!!

I actually thought it would be funny if Max won, since he is the least smart of the three and I would have liked to see how he would run things if he kept his powers

I dont see why people want max as a family wizard it would be a example of winning without doing any effort on studying nor would we be able to see his actions after he won so it would be a waste to say it will be funny.
This was a good ending episode.

I know he brags about it..but he does because he's spent his whole wizard life studying for it...I wouldn't be fair if Max kept his powers because he'd use them irresponsibly and Alex..hmm she gets into too much trouble (although I do want her to stay w/Mason) but Justin is the most conscious one...and the kindest♥

what if one sibling was like 5 and the other was 20? :s hahaha this competition makes no sense, everybody should keep their powers...
I think they do the competition when the siblings are close to being adults. Max was 16 or 17, Alex was 18 or 19, and Justin was 19 or 20. My guess is they would wait until the youngest sibling was 16-18 to start the competition. It means there is an unfair advantage but it's just the way it is. The entire wizard competition is unfair to begin with.

@@alessiarugini My guess would be that they would just automatically take the new child's powers near or after the competition considering that they would already have a family Wizard.
@@AuraKumo104 What a great episode! We are all still friends to this day, and Alex lives with me in this condo! I also enjoy our weekly trips to Kennywood Park and we will definitely go on August 21.

Guys, enough, Max isn't going to win, he is just a supporting character. It'll be Alex or Justin, they are the stars of the show, the show revolves around them and their relationship. Max just compliments their relationship. It'll really be a competition between Alex and Justin, or maybe they will all end up winning their powers. That seems like the most likely scenario.
I saw a commercial on Disney that said Wizards of Waverly Place will return in 2013
