I remember his first videos made the material seem cloth like, I'm pretty sure they just used a green blanket and basic camera trickery. My point is, this guy seems like a number of the other military contractors out there, faking it until he makes it.

yeah i think this is more of a advertisement for a company that needs more recognition. This is ancient tech... I guess it could be good in the right application but cloaking wont be it. I remember when they showed this stuff to a general way back in the early 90's and he wasn't impressed until they removed it and he got extremely excited that there was a small tank behind it that couldn't be seen. He quickly stated that he was excited that the tank was the real important part but couldn't explain how. Then he winked :D one of the best gifts they gave the old guy before he called it quits.

This might seem useful at first glance, but when you think about it, the military application is kinda limited. It doesn't perfectly cloak you and the resulting visual effect actually catches people's attention. People can't see what's behind it, but they can see that there's something very interesting there. It's also cumbersome as it can only be rolled up in one axis, which means a human size one will be a human-height cylinder at its most compact. A vehicle-sized one will be a major logistical nuisance to transport.

using total internal reflection near perfect stealth material is already being used here... plus no distortion of background.. but its obvious we can hide our asset up to 4-6 square-meter , but battleships and fighter jets is still at large...

The future of targeting isn't with the visible spectrum. It's radar and thermal. This isn't the best answer for either of those. But I could see this making big waves in the private sector for security windows, and some of the other things they mention.

This is funny, it assumes the military uses their eyes to scan for threats.

'It' (is actually a he) does not assume. You're wrong if you think that the military always has heat vision goggles and satellites at the ready, for every location at any time.
