Not gonna lie. The final scene got to me. My eyes started sweating at seeing Lori's haunted face, but seeing Frankie show up to give his brother one last walk really started the waterworks. I'm gonna miss this show as much as I miss the real deuce.
This season was a perfect ending to one of my favorite shows ever. It’s a shame it never caught on with the masses but it was an amazing series nonetheless. David Simon has my viewership for whatever he makes next.
It's a shame that show about porn industry was afraid to show any vulvas. We saw many erect dicks, explicit male masturbation throughout seasons but vulva was f**king hidden all the time. Joke, America is a joke. America is so stupidly scared of female genitalia.
This show has been one of the greatest shows that I watched in the past 3 years, it is viscerally honest, has captivating characters and great realistic storrytelling and development, it's been quite a journey and I enjoyed each and every episode. HBO will always be #1 for these kinds of shows to me also special thanks to David Simon and the crew for creating all this
Coming back to this…… Then ended Haunted me for a month. I watched that scene like 100 times especially with that soundtrack playing. My brother was killed…. I remember 42nd street from the late 80s early 90s… when I walk thru it up to this day I feel like Vincent. Looking at places that don’t exist… Seeing what it was like it still existed 😢
When a finale has you thinking about it obsessively the next day, you know it was well done. This, the shield, the Wire finale all had me a little shook, which is what i look for in a series ender. Heart-wrenching and well well done.
I cried buckets of tears when saw the last scene...Vincent was alone...him seeing all those people connected to him one way or other for the last time ....god what an ending!.. James did a fantastic job with all the other actors n actresses....... Abby made me really angry with her treatment towards Vincent..he really loved her......
Such a great story. I'll miss it so much. It's hard these days to find writers who know how to make a show with beginning, middle and ending that manages to be loyal to its core, but I'm glad David and George are one of these. What a phenomenal ending to a masterpiece of television.
I don’t know. Breaking Bad was a pretty incredible finale. But I loved this show and it’s ending, although it came way to soon for me, was done extremely well. I cried. So hard.
i cried so fucking hard during this, it's really sad that the series is coming to an end. having all the characters move on in these last few episodes was amazing to see. this season truly was the best, so much heartache. i'm sad we didn't get to seen eileen succeed before she died, but it was a nice touch to put her in the newspaper.
I remember watching this scene, and knowing that i wll absolutly break into tears when Frankie will show up... And i still was suprised how bad i cried when i saw his charismatic, carefree, gambler's smile. that hit me
Probably one of the best series finales I've watched. The last 15 minutes really caught me off guard. It was an emotional roller coaster to say the least. Does anybody know where I can find Blondie's cover of "“Sidewalks of New York”? Brilliant song choice.
When i watched the first movie of james franco "the pineapple express, the interview, this is the end" i thought he is just a funny guy who is talented with making people laugh, after i watched this, i sware to god I've never been that committed to any tv show that much.this man is the most talented actor since they invented all tha acting thing,i couldn't hold my tears with that ending, i felt a part of my life is just over.thank you for making such an amazing work of these actors.
One of my favorite TV series ever. The ending was stunning. I just wished Abby and Vincent met randomly in the end scene. Not meeting each other was heartbreaking.
Harvey was able to get Candy/Eileen to release the movie, Yay! I hope those two stayed close the rest of their lives. Since we didn’t see him in the end, I’d like to think Harvey is still alive, leaving rocks on Candy/Eileen’s grave.
What an ending. This and Al's death and parting words on the Deadwood movie are some of the best endings I've seen lately. I really don't know what to say.
I finally got hooked on it too, about a month ago...and just finished it tonight. I was gripped from start to finish and had the same reaction at the end. I was a teen during the "Deuce years" but not near NYC. I'm very nostalgic for the era, so the series had a big impact on that.
The Cast was awesome even Franco The Brilliance of the story and of course one of the best storytellers David Simon now to watch it all over again HBO does it again 👏👏👏👏💯💯
A very well written, produced and directed series starring an exceptional cast of ultra talented actors. A brilliant portrayal of gritty NY. Thank you team.
What made me said in the final scene was the convinction that unfortunately in my life there's no such group of friend and acquaintances I could say I am so strongly binded to as Vince is. Looking back to my life in 30 years, what I would probably see would be a bunch of passer-by...
I loved that ending. It reminded me of the end of Casino when Ace Rothstein was lamenting the change of Vegas into a family friendly Disneyland ... also it looks like Abby became a neo-yuppie. Not surprising since that's what many middle-class boomer liberals became. She was always just a "tourist" slumming it with the great unwashed
pa. encema Yes i agree with you she hated that kind of people The yupies and neo-yupies and in The end she became one i think because she was alone after she left vicent she was a very hipocrate woman i remember she metioned in season 3 how much she hated rich people specially yuppies
The ending crept up on me. My eyes turned into a silent waterfall. After Frankie died I figured we're in the last stretch of the show. It had given all it could.
I wish they would've showed Darlene reuniting with the bartender at the parlor who she brought from NC. I also wanted to see Abby & Irene's reaction to Shay's death.
So very sad to see this show go. Very well done. One of mine and my husbands favorites. I wish more shows were like this. Very touching ending. I loved James Franco in this. He really has a range that isnt shown enough.
I got nothing more to say about this fabulous show. All the comments said it already. But @HBO is there any chance that you release the video of the last song, Sidewalks of New York. It is impossible to find it on TH-cam in this version. Thanx.
