As a Braves fan, Kyle Wright wasn't "right" last year lol but he showed in previous years what he can be when he's healthy. He won't pitch in 2024 though due to surgery.
The timing is crazy!! Bobby Witt Jr gonna be a KC Royal for 11 years now lol. They'll be next years Texas Rangers for real, they're doing the right thing in bringing up top prospects then using their money to sign free agents... Not to mention they signed Will Smith, who has won the World Series the past three years lol
I thought this was to talk about Bobbt Witt. As everyone said, the timing. Also they got Adam Frazier, and for whatever reason he is one of my favourite players so I'm happy they got him.
Now bobby is chasing a 350 average with melendez in outfield being on fire atter the all star break. They also have pretty good pitching with Seth Lugo being one of the best pitchers in the american league and singer ragams and walka are pitching extremely well as well
Ok here's my opinion. For a team to be competetive they need a line up that is obviously not bad, but it is also consistent, and that's what the royals are trying to achieve in this offseason (also the good luck charm will smith), but for a team to be just not competetive but wants to go for a Championship they need one or two star players, for example bobby witt, and maybe, just maybe the starting pitcher (sorry forgot the name) that you mentioned a lot in the video that in 2023 had an 5 ERA. Now they just need to improve the first baseman (forgot the name too, sorry) that had a good Rookie season, and improve some players. Oh and One more thing for a team to be competetive they also need to have a good average age, like players that are young but have some experience (bobby witt, and the first baseman, and the starting pitcher), players that are old, but wise (starting pitcher that is 33 years old, forgot the name too), and some players that are solid and consistent with a few years like the utility player they signed. I just see a team with incredible potential not only for 2024 but for the next 5 years at least. Sorry for not remember the names of the players Im new to baseball so don't have a lot of knowledge, but my opinion came from watching other sports for years
It seems to me that what the Royals are doing is par for the course, but that's not getting it done like the Ray's get it done. I'm not sure how they do it, but year after year, they are in the hunt in their division, unlike us.
A player that the Marlins want to get rid of is necessary and fits like a glove... he is Luis Arraez and he guarantees 200 hits per year... and with Perez, Witt, Melendez, Pascuatino, and Garcia... runs are guaranteed... He is a natural leadoff hitter...movement on the bases and more runs.
Well kansas city voters shot down the new stadium vote last month soooo yeah idk what's gonna happen now. Either they try again with more details and not try to be so shady this time or they sadly may have to leave kansas city for good after 2030.
Something happened on the way to the Jackson County bank! No votes outnumbered yes votes! The nerve of plebes, thinking rich owners need new stadiums! I guess it was fun while it lasted? Where will the Royals go? Anchorage? Honolulu? International Falls? Ah ain't futility great, can't go down any further, right?
they also realize the al central is the worst division in baseball and can easily win it and im glad they are making moves. Sad to see them wanting to replace kauffman though =(
They better get it together. I live in KC, and the only people who want to tear down Kauffman (which was renovated only like 15 years ago) are greedy developers and landowners. A new stadium will make downtown traffic exponentially more nightmarish than it already is. They don't even need another World Series run. Just be more watchable than the travesty of a team they are now. Salvy is old, and they can't coast only on Witt.
@@OfficiallyRonnythere's literally nothing wrong with Kauffman. "But it's old!" So what? Wrigley and Fenway are also old. The K is an indispensable piece of our city's history, which cannot be replaced by another Consoom Product™️ Stadium. Oh, and at Truman Sports Complex, you're not as likely to get clipped by flying bullets because some "youths" got "disrespek'd". They also wanna replace the K with a "VIP entrance" at Arrowhead, so that Princess Taytay doesn't have to mingle with the dirty peasants.
@@HPSmugscraft The K isnt iconic and will never be as iconic as Wrigley and Fenway. Lets get an MLB team downtown and take Kansas City to the next level
@@OfficiallyRonny"not iconic"? Tell me you just moved here without telling me you just moved here. The fountains and the Crown scoreboard are as iconic as McCovey Cove or the Green Monster. And what "next level"? A new stadium is worthless if the team sucks ass. It wouldn't magically make them worth watching. A downtown stadium and the proposed "baseball district" is just a gentrification scheme backed by corporate greed. Who are you trying to impress? A bunch of damn tourists and carpetbaggers from California?
@@HPSmugscraftyou just don’t get it do you. Kc is trying to become Dallas and all its residents need to leave. The mayor only want rich it workers from California. Its natives are no longer wanted.
Worst farm system in baseball after tanking for multiple years, doesn't seem like they are rebuilding the right way. Seems like they are desperately trying to salvage this current group of young players.
They have their core up. Building around them with veterans is the right move. Either results in winning, or it dosen’t. And if it dosen’t, they can trade vets and revitalize the farm system. It puts them in a place where they can speed up the rebuild process. No matter what happens.

As soon as you started talking about Bobby Witt Jr. and ESPN breaking news reported his 11 year extension
My most legendary moment
My Favorite Basevall player Is Robert
Aka Bobby
Bobby got The biggest contract in royals history!
Rightfully so! New era
Timing is crazy they just extended Bobby Witt Jr. lol
It's the middle of May and the Royals are 32-19. They're doing something right.
You can't let a guy like Witt Jr leave. You had to lock him up and they did. Kid is a special talent.
Such an awesome player
Bobby Witt is fun to watch!
@@elizabethhall3429 without a doubt a young man playing like a kid and doing an amazing job
I love our sports team in my 25 years I've seen 2 world series and 4 superbowls.
Still early in the season but this is the most optimistic I’ve been about the royals since 2015. It’s nice to actually want to watch the games again
I really like this team
Why did you have to refer to us as Kansas 😢
The timing bro 😂
Now they’re 62-50 in August
Team is awesome. Can’t wait to make a new video on them
As a Braves fan, Kyle Wright wasn't "right" last year lol but he showed in previous years what he can be when he's healthy. He won't pitch in 2024 though due to surgery.
This aged so well
Watching this now is beautiful. Bro knows ball

Dodgers royals WS here we come
As a Royals fan, I have to point out @ 2:30 you mention "Kansas." But Kansas doesn't have a baseball team.
Fair enough fair enough
Acktchually, there's the Outlaw League KC Monarchs on the Kansas side, and the Wichita Wind Surge (Twins AA team).
Amazing predictions
Almost July now.. and the Royals are still chugging along!

Aye man, for someone new to baseball, I respect the knowledge! I absolutely agree with you. 🐐
Posted this vid right as Witt got the extension. Perfect timing
😂😂🐐 Gotta love it
this has aged beautifully
Bobby Witt is my favorite player and watching this team rebuild is going to be fun. I’m rooting for them but not more than my Yankees
always been from Kansas n love are team 🤝
I got a feeling there going to win a World Series in like 5 years.
Playoff appearences consecutive seasons. Next world series appearance, at least 12 years away.

Yeah you could say the rebuild is going well
So, Melendez is definitely not that guy - but we have Fermin, who IS that guy. Best catcher in the league right now, and I truly believe that.
Melendez is starting to put it together he's been great over the last month
@Jokafilmz yeah just not as a catcher I mean- he's a great outfielder
