"That's Amore"
Songwriter Jack Brooks, Harry Warren
"That's Amore" is a 1953 song that became a major hit and signature song for Dean Martin in 1953.
The song first appeared in the soundtrack of the Martin and Lewis comedy film The Caddy, released by Paramount Pictures on August 10, 1953. Lewis commissioned Warren and Brooks to write songs for Martin to sing in the movie. According to Lewis, he personally paid them $30,000 secretly in the hope that one would be a hit for Martin.
In the film the song is performed mainly by Martin, with Lewis joining in and then followed by the other characters in the scene. It received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song of that year, but it lost to "Secret Love" from Calamity Jane starring Doris Day.
The song remains closely identified with Dean Martin. That's Amore was used as the title for a 2001 video retrospective of Martin's career; and his son, Ricci Martin, titled his 2002 biography That's Amore: A Son Remembers Dean Martin] As an iconic song, "That's Amore" remains a secondary signature song. The song was also the opening titles song in the film Moonstruck.

Buddy Neher Don’t go there-I still remember being snowbound here in western Maryland during Jonas and somebody on the local radio station with a twisted sense of humor was spinning The Beach Boys, followed by “Hot In the City” by Billy Idol! This in the middle of a blizzard-and I thought only fire/rescue personnel and cops had that sick sense of humor!

In 2024, she’ll be just barely old enough to run for president, however if Democrats are successful in putting in a full-blown, two-term president in 2020, she will have to wait until 2028.
At which point, she will be 38 and have lots more experience. Perhaps she’ll run for Senate in the meantime. Let’s say she spearheads getting the Green New Deal through Congress; tons of brownie points for that!

Hi Gerard, I was using the Merriam-Webster definition of amoraI: "having or showing no concern about whether behavior is morally right or wrong." I think it's an interesting topic and it's amusing, in a depressing sort of way, that we're trying to figure out whether the president of the US is amoral or immoral.
