GUYS! So apparently the bling rings for the start/stop buttons can actually interfere with your car and cause it to malfunction/not start/have stalling/locking issues (the metal part of the ring being so close to the ignition can throw off signals from your key fob). I should have done my research beforehand, but I just removed mine bc it's better to be safe than sorry. It's SO cute, but not worth breaking my car. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! I wanted to warn y'all if any of you have one or wanted to get one! Thanks Karly for bringing this to my attention!

God this. Every one of these I have found today they drive like BMW and expensive ones. I was in the same spot as her and had to get a new car after mine finally died. I got a 2021 rogue sport. It's cute and I love it but not a luxury car.
as someone who’s worked in a tire shop for the past 2 years, fix a flat does absolutely nothing but make a mess inside your tire which gets everywhere after you take it off. best to just put the spare on (under the trunk mat) and drive to a tire shop and get it fixed

I’m just out of college. My first car at 18 was a 1997 Chrysler sunfire, no air, no stereo at all, no radio. It had a clock and hand crank windows and for $1,200. Right it sucked. Don’t miss that but in 6-8 years later you really appreciate air and Bluetooth.

Congrats on the new car!! I did the same thing as you, bought a used as my first car and wound up with it having quite a few problems. Bought a new car and have had it almost four years with no issues! Sometimes new is just the way to go when it comes to something like a vehicle. You’ve worked hard for it, you should be proud!

I recently bought my 2020 Hyundai Sonata with a $2,500 down payment and I think the civic is in the same price range? I believe that it depends on your credit score and your job. If you go now with the down payment you have, you’ll definitely be walking out the door with the civic. Best of luck!!!
Tour the honda accord too!! I test drove the civic and it was nice but i fell in LOVE with the accord. Try not to do too much of a down payment. It’s nice but it’s better to grow your credit score :)

Congrats and nice choice! I highly suggest getting your windows tinted and buying a custom windshield sun shade, makes a world of difference in the summer and keeps your interior from fading.

We are the same person. My 2020 homda civic EXL is blue though, I definitely think it really goes with the strawberry blonde hair that grows from my noggin!!! Congratulations! Love my 2020 Honda Civic. My previous car was a 2006 Honda Civic EX-Nav and it had 250,000 miles...still got nearly $4,000 for the trade-in. Treat it well and it will treat you well.
