Really enjoyed this segment, Orlando. I have a Goldsmith Sporting Goods Ad Sign featuring the great Luque. One of my favorite pieces, it features a fantastic Conlon image of Luque in his follow through. Loved hearing the story of him and Wilbert Robinson “taking care” of the nasty fan… Thanks for the great history lesson!
There's always a history lesson in your videos, Orlando. I know more about Cuban players from you than any other source. Beautiful cards!! Thanks for sharing.
I missed this one. Love it buddy, appreciate you highlighting some of the lesser known players who have some serious historical significance. The first true Cuban born superstar in the Major Leagues. It was also well known that he was quite combative and upon being ridiculed one time, he wound up going into the opposing teams dugout and decking Casey Stengel during the middle of a game!
Thanks for the great info. The cards are beautiful. I'm trying to collect a card from every member of the Reds HOF and recently picked up a Yuengling's card that I showed you at the National. I read up on Adolfo and was amazed at how good he was.
Wonderful cards video! He is a member of my global professional 300 win club. I have him with a career record of 377-297. His 1933 Goudey is near the top of my want list.
It was said Dolf didn’t die because of a lack of heart. I had the 1934 Giants stratomatic team several years ago and Dolf was my closer. Love Goudey the most. Thanks for sharing.
Great cards Orlando, sadly he gets forgotten since people seem to forget guys not elected to the HOF, silliness and short sighted imo. I’ve been looking for a certain Luque card for a while but having a lot of difficulty finding it. Thanks for sharing
Awesome Luque cards! Some really rare and beautiful ones as well! Thanks Orlando for showing these gems!
My pleasure!
Excellent Show Buddy. These are just BEAUTIFUL cards. Your collection is stellar
