- In 1954, Einstein wrote a letter to Eric Gutkind in which he expressed his feelings about the God. Einstein said, "The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and a product of human weaknesses." Einstein didn't believe in biblical beliefs and never attended religious prayers as a teen.
Einstein didn't like the idea of a personal god a god that listens to all your room prayers and rewards or punishes people accordingly. Even on death, he denied the traditional burial because he didn't wanted people to pray on his grave. So, he asked his family to burn his body instead and scatter the ashes secretly, which they did.

It does not matter if you do not like the idea of our God, you’ll never know him if you’ve never tried to know him. He does not punish you for doing “bad things”. He is saving us from where we were originally headed. We are born sinners. If you try to listen to God, you may find him and it is a beautiful thing. (I am not forcing religion, I am simply stating my beliefs.)

To some point ,I totally agree with him. But the drawback of this assertion is that Einstein did not acknowledge the fact that there is a supreme being behind the wonderful engineering of the world and the universe at large .Perhaps It is due to the fact that Einstein was born in an era when not so much was understood about the concept of God, so much as to assert that a great mind like him did not have adequate answers to satiate the burning questions ,which brings me to this question, SUPPOSE EINSTEIN WAS BORN IN THIS ERA, WOULD HIS PERCEPTIONS ABOUT GOD CHANGE???
Einstein adhered to Scientism (the idea that truth can only be known if it's scientifically verified - which is a claim that can't be scientifically verified ITSELF ... hence, why Scientism is a self-refuting philosophy). I feel about the same way. I was brought up in an old-school Roman Catholic culture, and indoctrinated with beliefs about eternal punishment, etc. I struggled with my beliefs for decades. With therapy, I let those scary, damaging beliefs go. I'm not a praying person, nor do I go to church, but I do believe in the Creator, the Source of all love. I simply live with gratitude for all the blessings I've been given, and make sure I'm kind and compassionate to others.
You don’t need a creator to live with gratitude etc. You don’t need a creator for anything. And if you are a nice person just because of a creator then you are not really a nice person. You have to find love from within you, you don’t need no “source”.
@@AjejeB Sometimes, especially if one was reared by abusive caregivers, one can't love him/herself. It helps to believe in an "outside source" to help the healing and learning process. Anyhow, I prefer to believe in the Source of all Love, whom we humans call God, YWHW, the Great Spirit, etc. It helps me not to feel alone.

Since God can't be proven to exist nor NOT exist, then there's no indication that there's God.

I think that God is nothing but that energy of nature which drives everything, God is not the one who punish people or reward them it's the nature create by it who traps everyone in its cycle of life and death, God is that feeling inside us by which we can set ourselves free from useless tensions and emotions of this mortal world.

Perhaps the author of the video does not know that Einstein was a great admirer of Spinoza for whom the word GOD stands for NATURE or the ultimate SUBSTANCE. Spinoza was accused of being an atheist but denied it also because he did consider the word "God" meaningful but not in the sense of a Personal God. For Spinoza Mind and Matter cannot be ultimately different because there is only one ultimate reality.
Mind is a product of matter. Bit like hardware and software. There is no god anyways. And if by god we mean nature, sure, but then let’s say by table I mean chair and I usually seat on tables.

So there is no word waking up from sleep for God, there is no birth and death for him, there is no unconscious or conscious for God... So if life is indeed like a dream then it is meaning that God always sees and is always with us there is no boundary between creation and creator....
