Another Great video! What was the Flow rate on this trip? I was in Colombia last month running the Rio Saurez, Rio Negro, Fonce and several other rivers in my NRS MaverIK II inflatable. I want to paddle Agua Azul sometimes later this year. Plan on driving down from central Texas and finding other Rios to run along the way! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This was the lowest flow of the year and typical of Feb-Mar-Apr-May when it hasn't been raining for a week or more. The river is often high and brown from rains Jun-Nov. Dec and Jan are variable but usually even in dry spells has more water than what you see here. I co-wrote a guidebook to the rivers of Chiapas you might find useful: search for "Mayan Whitewater" on Amazon.com

I organize raft and kayak trips there each season and will be leading a new "week of kayaking" next year probably once or twice, in addition to many normal week-long Usumacinta and Lacanja trips. But you can do a lot on your own too.

@@harlankraft578 You should get in touch with Stan Pully who lives in Dallas and paddles a bunch in inflatables as well. You can communicate with me directly via email (rocky - at- sierrarios.org) or Facebook (Rocky Contos).
