I love Allen. He’s so powerful yet very elusive, and he’s so young that by the end of his rookie contract, he’ll be just 24. He’s one of the rare cases of a running back that someone will draft and expect to be their guy for possibly a decade. If you pair him up with a receiving back, like we saw at the titans this season with Henry as the running back, and Spears getting more chances as a receiving back, I think he’ll do so well. Think it may take him a while to reach his best, but by the end of his rookie contract, there’s no reason he can’t be the best running back in football. The sky is the limit for him. Praying the cardinals get him at the start of round 3.
There are comparisons to Derrick Henry here - a 6ft 3 250lbs monster. Henry is an outlier, a very rare exception to the rule, that RB's who play like a truck will even get a 2nd contract. Just look at all the top RB's who are/were getting offered cents on the dollar looking for contract extensions atm. You just draft a new back every couple of years to protect the club. There is more value dollar wise on the cap, on a body that will have significantly less wear and tear. To figure "that someone will draft and expect to be their guy for possibly a decade" is not based in the real World.
He would work well in GB. I love him, but in the GB offense it would be hard to take him over the dynamic Oregon back. In the weather? Ravens, Packers? This is the guy. Punishing.
