You're absolutely right. Lick is so annoying on so many levels. Between the paralysis chance and the sheer psychological impact of seeing someone use it is more than enough to make it unfun to fight.
Some moves like spore or dire claw are hated when your opponent click them, some moves like stone edge and focus blast you hate when you click them and they miss.
Thunder wave is my most hated move. It drives me nuts when people just spam that, then I inevitably get the worst paralysis luck. At least sleep is consistent

I literally never hear anyone talk about Whirlpool but it’s so busted; the fact that it does more than Leftovers heals makes it super hard to play around, but incase that wasn’t enough, it makes it impossible to switch out too! You’d think that Water-type Pokémon would be immune to strong currents, but I guess that Game Freak forgot about the immunity mechanic when designing this move. I’m so glad someone brought it up!
stealth rock is fine for the most part it's just frustrating that it invalidates any and all non-lead focus sash strats if u don't pack a rapid spin user

Seems pretty easy choice here.
Yeah, I agree. Whirlpool is a completely busted move. Slap it on a Galarian Corsola with and eviolite and you can trap an opponent's physical normal or fighting type mon and bask in the fact that they are most likely howling in rage. It seriously needs a nerf.

scald is a very fair and balanced move and i believe it should be distributed to every pokemon that can produce liquid, even if its just saliva let them scald
They should really remove Protect. Having the ability is really unfair for your enemy, while he's psyspaming on you. He should be able to kill you with his Expanding Force.
i think my main hatred of stealth rocks and hazards in general come from me mostly playing free for alls hazards are way too good in that format and everyone spams them
