SIKIRINE for Torba: fighting malaria far in the coral sea

This amateur unscripted film follows healthcare workers in Vanuatu delivering life-saving mosquito nets to prevent malaria in some of the most remote and tough to reach parts of the archipelago. Their aim is to eradicate the disease by covering 100% of the households with mosquito nets (locally called 'sikirine') while at the same time providing treatment for those who are sick. The film shows the relevance of some global aid programmes (Global Fund to Fight, AIDS, TB and Malaria in this case) when they are well implemented. Viewers will also enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and some unique cultural features of Torba (Vanuatu).
