Sujith, similar cable car facility is in Hong Kong. The ride from Hong Kong city to Victoria peak is by cable car. The view from top is awesome especially at night.

And of course in any countries, if it's Europe or Australia, facilities for public are given more preference.! Government and public authorities work for the public.
