Hey Labs, I'm a pretty big audiophile, and can definitely suggest a pair of headphones for you. Since you're not interested in having a mic, I'll suggest one that doesn't have one. A lot of "gaming headsets" have terrible sound quality anyways. Personally I use the Sennheiser HD280PRO headphones. They're $100, and well worth the price tag. I bought them not only for gaming but also because I listen to a lot of music and record a lot of music, so it's important for me to have faithful sound. And yeah, the bass is pretty great too.
