This is everything you want from a cover. He captures the spirit of the original while passively inserting his own soul into the song. That exchange between spirit & soul is the best you can expect from an artist.
Would love really to hear them do a duet, I think their voices would contrast one another in a great way but I also think James Blake can duet almost any artist and it be a master piece

He's voice leading through the chords (more than one note is changing), very similar to the original piano part - just using more color / getting outside of the triads for the I,IV,V,vi,ii chords. I liked the part at 3:01 where he seemed to crank the "esss" sound from his voice and pan it right. Maybe that's just the way the mics picked it up... sounded cool.
