i must have listened to this song at least 200 times in the last couple of months or so....i wouldn't call tipper a music producer, i'd call him a sound engineer....this song is a stroke of musical genius
I'm in college and I started this physics class yesterday called Basic Acoustics of Music. Maybe now I can finally have a tiny sprinkle of Tipper's sound constructing genius.
According to Jade Cicada he just does a mix down to -6db then slams everything into a litter. So he doesn't really master his own tracks he's just slams it into a limiter.
Broken Soul Jamboree is indeed totally amazing, the tracks have such a unique sound, almost sounds like a fairy tale imo. His new ep Bubble Control is a bit more uptempo and has a different feel to it but it's great! Everything Tipper makes just sounds AMAZING. Ultimate Respect!
Just saw Tipper last weekend, no doubt one of my new favorites nearly incomparable to anyone else. But if there was a vague comparison, I'd say Tipper is like the Bassnectar of glitch- a true master of beautiful beats
Sorry for going on that tangent, but Bassnectar is simply a champ of bass/dub/electronic music, at his shows you can really get the feeling he's not rooted into any one genre. I see him as a big innovator in music, Tipper is crazy innovative too with his own style, when you listen you know the possibilities are endless.
Well you know everyone's got their own opinion-but I think Bassnectar is a champ at making a live show an eye opening (and ear opening) experience. Not only are his mixing/dj/music crafting skills impeccable, through his live performances, he reminds me that life's so delicate and somany take it for granted. Even when we know there's trouble out in the world we can't help, every time I'm at a Bassnectar show I can't help but say a few prayers to myself hopin the world might change for the better
ya listening to the surrounded just adds another dimension to what I'm saying. I'm not going to argue- Tipper makes great sounds for his music but listening to their earlier tracks, I hear similarities despite their different styles
I'm not so much comparing the complexity of their music but more the production and depth of understanding they have for sound engineering. Both of 'em throw it down no doubt. But if you don't think BN is sounds as "complex" listen to some of his earlier tracks- "Verbing the Noun" or maybe "Dubuasca" surely not as heavy as higgins (great tune btw)
@goon111 Depends on your style: Wobble factor for dubstep/glitch beats. I personally like Sorrounded album and ambient/downtempo Broken Soul Jamboree. The last one is magnific!
Mate, Im a huge fan of Bassnectar, but to even compare him to Tipper is a bit silly. Tipper is totally on another level compared to Bassnectar. Search for a Track by Tipper called "Higgins". I'd love to hear BN pull of something as complex as that.
It's pretty much impossible to pick one of Tipper's best ever tracks....that said....this is one of Tipper's best ever tracks.
true and nicely stated!
Tipper Timeless as Always!!!
Indeeeed

Tipper's music escapes the Laws of time and decay.
This song has literally changed my life. Thank you Tipper.
I cant tell you how many times ive replayed this song. Soooo amazing.
Tipper for President!!!
Dare I say, Tipper's best song?
This song accurately mirrors my soul.
the seamless unspeakable something :) ...perfect
masterpiece
He might just be both, engineer and designer. He is one of the few producers who masters his own albums himself, without making a big mess!

Much love, wish I would've stumbled across this genius earlier. Better late than never!
words can not described how chilled i am right now

this song works on basically all speeds, so good. can be enjoyed many ways
Best on 1.0 speed whilst elevated. The distortion on other speeds hurts my ears and soul.

Trying to study before 9AM and listening to this just doesnt go well together...
Oh well, studying is boring anyway
Hahah well. A sound engineer deals more with recording. Really dealing with the sonic aspect.
I see Dave as a sound designer.
Note to self 8 years later. "Audio Technician"
Did this get taken down on Spotify?
What do you think Bassnectar is the champ of? Just wondering.
Fucking amazing. I can't stand it.
What Genre is this?
@Eihcra96 downtempo
i do this only with my tongue, hmu!
Thank god Bassnectar, whilst making terrible dubstep, at least knows of some good electronic music producers.
