    So there's a shark with a:
    1.)Hammer-head
    2.)Shovel-head (Shovelnose Shark)
    3.)BuzzSaw-head (Helicoprion) and
    4.)HedgeTrimmer-head (sawshark)

Illustrations of these extinct fish have always perplexed me, probably because they were always associated with such vague captions along the lines of: some were very strange. This is the first time I've seen such detailed information about them.

I got annoyed when Blathers told me it was a "shark tooth pattern". It's a Helicoprion tooth whorl.

Considered the video enjoyed. With the needed information gleaned from fossils with newer equipment. At least we are getting better ideas of what Chondrichthyes may have looked like. Thanks👍🦈🦈🦈👍

Except Chondrichthyes is paraphyletic because Elasmobranchii is more closely related to Euteleostomi than to Holocephali.

I think that the issue with the scientific theory of how the jaw was doesn't work practically. You have to be able to put what you try to eat in your mouth, and not just cut it in half. Your teeths can't point up and down at the same time, like models of this shark's teeths spiral shows, otherwise while biting with those who are pointing up, those who are pointing down will hurt the predator flesh due to the pressure of the bite. Another thing is: there is no place left in the mouth for food to come in, because all the place is taken by the spiral. I could keep going with "scientific evidences" like this all day long. It surprise me that nobody mention the possibility of how the fossil of this creature, especially being made with cartilage, could have been compressed and deformed with the pressure of sands and rocks on it, and a ""simple"" x-ray scan it's maybe not enough to being so sure about how this fish looked. So, like you see, science contradict science, and you have to use your brain, sometimes. If this is the official representation of the Helicoprion, it doesn't mean it's true. Paleontologist are humans, and humans make mistakes. Just look how the spinosaurus models are keep changing because of recent discoverys. All paleontologist don't agree on this version of Helicoprion. So don't be so sure that it looked like that ;)
P.S. I apologise for my bad english

I was noticing many other youtubers getting in on shark week so I thought I’d contribute… by making a video a week late that isn’t even really about a shark. Enjoy.
Also you may have noticed the improved animations in this video which I was able to do due to updating my editing software. This was greatly helped by the kind support from my patrons, if you would like to join the ranks and see this channel improve then you can go to www.patreon.com/MothLightMedia and drop me a dollar. Or not, completely up to you.

Squid as pray makes sense to me- Sperm Wales also have a narrow line of only lower jaw teeth.
There may have even be a more complex mouth that "rolled" in a little when closing. Like Snake jaws have their upper fangs point slightly forward.
