Metal Gear Survive showed us than a lot of people who worked on the old silent hill games are still at Konami, Even Mashiro ito (the monster designer. ) , maybe after Survive, they will start to work on another silent hill with the fox engine, using old ideas from Silent Hills.
Even then, Death Stranding will probably use some element of Silent Hills.

the thing that pissed me about harry not being the main lead in the first SH movie was because the director implied that a father wouldnt go to such lentgs to find his child but a mother would, which is just so sexist

@@eq4611 It's true. The director originally didn't want any men in the movie at all. It was the film company that was funding the movie that made him put at least a couple male actors in the movie, so they got Sean Bean (Can''t remember where the interview I read that came from it was so long ago, otherwise I would source it for you). His excuse for why he didn't want Harry to be the main protagonist was that Harry acted like a mother in the game so the role was better suited to a woman. It was in the making of the film documentary that I'm pretty sure is on the original DVD release. Can probably find it on youtube at this point.

Tbh the first Silent Hill movie wasnt even that bad as people make it out to be. Yes, it did not follow the game directly, but the CGI was really good and i really liked how they brought Silent Hill alive. But the second movie was really badly done

I played P.T. without knowing what it was. I just saw this free game on PSN and thought it looked interesting. I haven’t played anything as terrifying as it since. I was so excited for Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro to come together and make an amazing game. Then when It got canceled, it was such a disappointment... Konami... why?
I never played PT but I was so excited for Silent Hills. When it was cancelled it bothered me more then it probably should have but Silent Hill was so unique and there's no games like them to fill the void.
As I heard, and I don’t know if it’s true, they never planned to release Silent Hills. That there’s no such game in the making, it’s a goodbye piece of Hideo Kojima to Konami. I watched a TH-cam video about it and I as am easily to persuade, I believed it, I don’t want to because I love this franchise so much and I don’t want it to end, but there’s a lot of hard facts and evidence about it.

You should check him out!!He is Fire!!!. :) He is not getting anywhere with his works,while he should be known all around games by now. He is terrific....Sad that no matter how hard he tries people aren't checking anyone's work out anymore 😥😥 . His name is Gabriel and his channel called G Lander 2018...probably I am his only fan...

I ...wow...im utterly speechless! you have a fantastic way with words and I was hooked on each one! silent hill has been my life since 1999..when I watched my dad play the first game. it's been embedded deep in my heart since then..and I go there when I need to escape. it has such a special meaning to me and I have a deep bond and love for all the characters and storylines. the ending of your video was beautiful..we will meet. when the fog recedes and the silence falls ♥fantastic...I'm so happy to have found someone else who so dearly loves the series as much as I do ♥

Just finished watching this series you made. I want to say it is great work and I learned a lot. I love the editing and presentation. I also appreciate learning about the other SH games that I didn't play (everything after 4). The last to games (Downpour and especially Shattered Memories) have really good twists at the end.

This Series is the best thing ever happened on youtube i can rewatch all this like a million times and never get bored and as a die hard fan for both is there a hope you can make a resident evil one just like this i know i'm asking much but these two series are for me the best thing happened in gaming but for The Silent Hill Vids you are the best out there so Perfect Job ;)

thank you for this series, never played a game of the series outside from P.T and origins that I randomly picked up on PSP, always felt like I was missing out and I definitely still do. Although Silent Hills would have been a great introduction to the series, hopefully the series will be brought back in some way or an other.

I genuinely don't understand why they canceled PT. It was a guaranteed success. It was one of the few times they could have been 100% sure that the game would gave been successful for their company and they dropped it.

yesterday I saw silent revelations after along time and I just realized that the ending was trying to tease silent hill downpour , I kinda wanna see a movie version of it now but with good writers behind the movie and learning from the past movies to see what worked and what didn't

Also, it should be mentioned that this cancellation i feel served as a good inspiration for the whole idea of RE7 (althogh i could be wrong, since its development could've started years prior the P.T.'s release) but you can't deny that it sell way more than it would've if players weren't as hungry for Silent Hills (or something similar, like RE7). At least i was.
I feel like if you watch the first Silent Hill movie without comparing it to any of the games, it's actually a really good movie

Announcement of Silent Hills was the main reason I decided to get a PS4 - which I promptly did, before it was cancelled of course. Though there have been other good games I've enjoyed since, Silent Hills has to be a contender for best game never made...
If there were several people affected by the subliminal messages and our protagonist was one of them, maybe the plural in Silent Hills stood for entering the hells of each of the affected and discovering the common cause?

Well, since ya said something and it sounds like people have brought up the heroine thing to you....
It's actually pronounced like "hair-oh-win", but I kinda liked "shero" myself. But guy, I gotta tell ya, I just watched your whole series, and for a few videos now, I've been wanting to comment that you nearly have mastery of speaking the English language COMPLETELY down! The things you don't have down are so understandable...
For instance, you said in a previous video "the act of argue", which you should instead just say "arguing, or, "argument" because saying "the act" insinuates it is a particularly strong action, such as "the act of killing". Native English speakers would never say "the act of argue" to say that two people had an argument, but I've translated in Spanish classes the same way, so I see how that could happen. It's just one of those things that native speakers would think "why'd he say it like that?" if another native speaker were to say it that way. And to be honest, you rarely even do it. Like, super rare.
But yeah, I speak, read, write, and articulate ideas my language very well in my own language. I am technical with words and I feel like you should always use the most accurate terminology you can to communicate ideas. That said, know your skills are right on!

Yeah, it's an incredible crime against the fans, what Konami did. Silent Hills propably would have revived and changed real horror games a lot and strictly spoken already has - WITH ITS TEASER ONLY. Just take a look at projects like Allison Road, Visage or Agony... or greedy, trendsurfing Capcom with RE7 (it may be a solid or good game, but I'll never touch it cause of the mendacious interviews with the devs and the whole copycat thing on top of it).
Some time ago Kojima said, he kept some ideas hidden from Konami and wants to use them for parts of Death Stranding, so let's hope the best (even if it's no new Silent Hill).

I really don't hope Kojima and Reedus end up like Burton and Johnny Depp/Bonham Carter...just way too typecast and it becomes less of an individual character for the seperate game IP's, but just...'type-casting' but in a game made of pixels where you could create any aesthetic...

BTW, there is this dark rumor that Kojima did P.T. as a way to purposefully get fired from Konami because he was tired of over-working on MGS. This is hinted in how the "Silent Hills" title screen was very well hidden, thus evading Konami's usual screening. Konami would have never allowed this demo to be called "Silent Hills" because it's not his intellectual property. It sounds as paranoid as an MGS story filled with conspiracy but I don't have to remind you who wrote MGS's stories in the first place...
