    Very useful thank you so much. I'm a male 25 who lived alone my whole life but in my home country the cost of raw ingredients and eating out had not much difference so I always ate out to save time. Now I've moved to a country with high labor costs and started cooking to save some money so I'm researching the basics. It's actually very fun 😄 got a rice cooker for almost free and was curious if I needed an air fryer (since our oven doesn't have a a blow option). You just convinced me man, i can get one for the price of 2 meals here! Absolutely bargain, so thank you again 🙌

    Superb series! I'm loving it! So organized and educational to those who are setting up their first homes yet do not have that great wealth of experience! Thank you!! oh yes, not forgetting, the awesome review of those novelty items that not just simply tells us 'no' but also explains the rational behind them!

    There's 1 more thing I'd have added to the arsenal is a good quality grater/microplane. It makes life so much easier when it comes to making garlic paste and/ or ginger paste etc. It also is perfect for grating cheese. Fun fact is you probably don't even need to peel the garlic clove before grating as it would peel the skin as you grate.

    Very informative and Ming speaks so well. The only thing I want to nitpick is the "single use item", this is more like things you can only use once and throw....the better may be "unitaskers". Cheers.

    Got nearly all, except for rice-cooker, airfryer, and the single-use stuff. Did try my dads airfryer, and hated it, got more control in an oven. Cooking rice on the stove, and it gets perfect every time.
    What every kitchen should have, are the mini-spatulas, you get everything out of tins/glass/small plastic containers.... I got more than 10, and I use them every day.

    Would you recommend carbon steel pan or wok? It doesn't have the unhealthy non-stick layer and can take high heat. It's as durable as cast iron pan.

    The air fryer is just a conventional oven, most kitchens have ovens, it cant be essential 😑

    • @Maehng
      @Maehng 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are definitely right that air fryers are like mini ovens and physically work in similar ways. However there are some differences - some newer, smaller apartments don't come with built-in ovens as standard, and air fryers take a fraction of the time to reach temperatures and heat things up quickly!
