    I added the Revmax valvebody to my 2008 2500, I also added the Revmax trans computer. This takes advantage of the valvebody advantages like higher line pressure. Your truck needs the computer updated/tuned for the new valvebody to take advantage of the higher line pressure & altered shift schedule. It makes enough difference you may wonder if it's the same trans, much better. I only mention this as you didn't mention tuning for the trans.

    Running it too cool will cause it to build up moisture in it. Water and transmission fluid don't mix.

    I don’t have the 68rfe but I do have the 66rfe in the gas truck and you are doing exactly the same as me. The only thing I’m not doing is the deep pan. The valvebody and solenoid pack is the weak link in these trans.
    And yes you probably could have done the work yourself. It a fairly easy easy job to do if you have the space to do it inside. This will be my second truck doing it on and probably completed it in a about an hour. The thermal bypass is a trans saver and a must to do on the rfe trans.

    Nice ! I have exactly 2021 RAM 2500 like yours, I got code P0871 but I deleted it with OBD reader and never came back, also the gears shift up and down with no problem.
    I learned from RevMax that if I change the solenoid, I have to do a "pi curve relearn", but I cannot find this process from your video.
    Or you just changed the valve body but keep the old solenoid?
    I have done the same delete so I dont want to put back for warranty...

      @@jessyfew9631 I’m thinking it’s just gonna take time. I’m thinking maybe ram needs to do a quick relearn from their 50k$ device. I’m just scared to let them anywhere near my OBD. Or it’s tuning which is gonna take time for enough of us to complain about. I was also thinking of calling calibrated power or PPEI who only do emissions compliant tuning, but they invest big money into tuning and may have some insight.

      Mine is getting ridiculous with dropping into 4th gear at 70 mph. It is happening every 500ish miles now. I have all the weight loss parts on mine. I have thought about having the recall done where they replace the valve body separator and then reflash the truck to see what happens. Not much difference from 18’s to 19’ except tuning and new facelift from what I understand. I do agree with you about letting them plug into the obd… I’d rather people with actual knowledge be the ones to do that. I’m not sure if you guys are having this issue or not but it has a tap to it as well. Almost as if the lifters are tapping. It’s done it since 10k miles and doesn’t seem to be getting better or worse. I use the cummins endorsed oil every time but use 15w40. I believe the book calls for 5w30 or something close. I will try switching it next time to see if that helps but I have my doubts. I baby this truck for a deleted truck no burnouts ect just pull trailers but not pushing it at all when it comes to hills just letting the truck do its thing. Sad we all spend 50k-80k+ and are having so many issues

    • @Steadierpark
      @Steadierpark ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jessyfew9631 hey man you MUST use 10w30 unless it’s below 32 degrees on the norm and it calls for 5w40. Numerous people who run these 5th gens attest to that. Check out PD Diesel power’s TH-cam channel. He had a fleet of 5th gens for hotshot and says 10w30 is what they need. This should quieten or get rid of the tapping. It will happen for the first 10% of a fresh oil change mainly at high idle due to the nature of the hydraulic lifters. After that mine goes away running Valvoline premium blue 10-30. I’ll find the video and post a link
