Thank you! I think I put myself in a really critical state of mind when working on her. But since she's been done for a bit, I've learned to like her a lot more and will be using her in future videos. 😍
Aww she is absolutely adorable! I love the casual clothes and those big bright brown eyes! Another amazing piece of work! You really were too critical of her in the video, because she turned out lovely.
Oh my gosh your ooak doll looks Gorgeous! I couldn't tell if she was your miniself but now that I know she's your mascot she still came out gorgeous. But if you want to give her another go then that's ok, I'll gladly give this doll a home just in case you make another one, maybe I can make her Skyward clothes like in the Legends of Zelda skyward sword game add some jewelry, shoes, and in case I get a 3d print print out her a harp and craft a spell book. See you next time.
Thank you! ;) She's grown on me a bit and I've decided to go ahead and use her in my videos for now. ❤ I just had to let go of the idea of her being a perfect iteration of my character. You are totally right about a Zelda-ish doll though. I'd love to make Hilda from a Link Between Worlds with the big Amaya doll 😽
She came out incredibly cute!!! The final product is really really nice!! But i COMPLETELY understand the disappointment that you're feeling: i feel like there are people that make quite a few versions/products of their favorite/mascot character, and then there are people that would never dare dream of doing that kind of thing with someone so precious to them because of talent or resource limitations. I feel like i'm the latter, too. But i guess i'm trying to learn to be open to how the final result will look despite that. (Using characters that i'm not as married to is a good start, i gotta say.)
I definitely agree! I had thought to make her awhile ago, and I'm actually happy I ended needing to wait so that I was more "capable". The cuteness is actually part of my gripe with Falyne. Cause she's more plain and not so adorable lol. But I'm thinking of this as the "doll version" of her and giving her permission to be slightly out of character. (and by extension, maybe myself lol) Thank you!
Nice video! I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago, and I love watching your work :) I think this doll turned out great! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks so much! It's not too hard to get into repainting. :) I can recommend some good starter supplies if you are interested. (or maybe that is a good video idea lol)
Do you find any makeup pallets to be ~bad~ when it comes to faceups??? I want to use tones of browns in my customs, but i can't find pastels in the colors i'm thinking, but i'm pretty sure that i would be able to find eyeshadow in those colors. I can't find any suggestions about using makeup on toy customs.
So with faceups, you can technically use a makeup pallet made for a human. But you need to make sure it isn't "moisturizing" so there are no added oils. If you use oil based supplies, they may discolor, or worst case, separate in layers over time. This is the same for regular colored pencils. They tend to be made with wax or oil and react badly to the vinyl of the dolls. This is why customizers use watercolor pencils instead. The "pallet" I use is actually not a regular makeup pallet, it just looks like one. They are regular soft pastels and not skin grade. I have used make up in the past, with good results. Now other "toys", like dnd figures, have different rules and it's common to use oil based products on those. If that is something you are looking to get into, I sadly can't help much since I have very little experience in that craft personally. I hope this helps~!
Don't be so hard on yourself. She's absolutely amazing. She's just so stinkin cute! I love her.

She is so awesome! Giving me Dark Crystal vibes!
I can totally see that! I think Rainbow High would be great for Gelfings actually 😍 Thank you!

Just a suggestion you should make more customs of ocs both from yours and your friends
Falyne actually has a little sister (based off of my own) and I've been thinking of making her. Maybe someday!
Beautiful ❤️🤩
Thank you, my friend! 😘

She looks ripped out the legend of Zelda her ears remind me of princess Zelda
I'm definitely a Zelda fan. Especially when I was a teenager around when I designed Falyne. ☺️ So I cannot deny any inspiration.
