Let’s make this clear guys, *RICTOFIN TECHNICALLY DIDN’T DIE!* At the end of revelations, Monty sends them back in time thus resetting the whole storyline putting it into a endless cycle, in blood of the dead, were back in the endless cycle but rictofin isn’t aware of that and doesn’t know about this endless cycle and doesn’t know Mothy is about to turn his back thus putting them into another cycle. The rictofin we play as in bo3 returns to end this cycle after knowing what the future is set to be for ever, Rictofin must sacrifice himself because he technically doesn’t exist, thats why at the end when revelations rictofin comes, the crew no longer sees rictofin on the machine. That’s why they don’t look back or say anything, they can’t see him he has basically disappeared into thin air and they don’t remember him. The only one that can see him is past rictofin therefore telling him he can’t live and that he will no longer exist. The ending is sad because rictofin has worked so hard to defeat the shadowman and has to die and doesn’t know why, he’s doesn’t understand he doesn’t know what happens if he goes through that portal, he thought he was gonna defeat the shadowman and him and Monty would win, he doesn’t know what happens after this. Rictofin has ended the cycle and has saved the whole zombie crew and isn’t even there to celebrate the victory 💔 Thank you rictofin. Origins-blood of the dead

This was absolutely the wrong version of Richtofen to meet a cruel and brutal end Ultimis Richtofen, an evil and insane man, gets to die by drinking poison, surrounded by friends while the one that did all the work and, yknow, saved the universe gets ignored by his friends as he literally sacrifices himself 😭
Technically Alcatraz is like Black Op's version of Purgatory/Limbo. So once they were freed, they were able to continue their journey to either Heaven or Hell where they were supposed to go.
The reason why they never said goodbye was because they never really liked him from the start. In origins, Nikolai wished his demise on Rich. Dempsey doesnt trust him either, and Takeo, well he is just Takeo i dont know how he really feels. Rich tries so hard to spend some time with them just to like him but sometimes, things have to end at some point which is sad. I could be wrong but i think this makes sense imo
Maybe in the end, nik will kill monty, become god, and bring everyone back. The ultimus, kids, COTD, MOTD, Tranzit, SoE, BO3 promos crew, BOTD crew, and everyone else.
What I’m curious about is why Victus Richthofen says “I wish I could say I’m sorry, but I’m not” before he walks away. Is it because he’s more happy that the cycle is broken, or that he sees the “nicest” version of himself as weak, or that he honestly just doesn’t care?
The Richtofen in the Templar costume is the one from BO3, the other one is another version of Richtofen in a different dimension. Sure the death was sad though.

The original richtofen is the one that came from the ice chamber because he's gone through zetsbou, gorod, and revelation. And since the cycle kept going, he went to another demesion which is how he appears inside the ice chamber and meets with the cycled version of the crew

Let’s make this clear guys, *RICTOFIN TECHNICALLY DIDN’T DIE!* At the end of revelations, Monty sends them back in time thus resetting the whole storyline putting it into a endless cycle, in blood of the dead, were back in the endless cycle but rictofin isn’t aware of that and doesn’t know about this endless cycle and doesn’t know Mothy is about to turn his back thus putting them into another cycle. The rictofin we play as in bo3 returns to end this cycle after knowing what the future is set to be for ever, Rictofin must sacrifice himself because he technically doesn’t exist, thats why at the end when revelations rictofin comes, the crew no longer sees rictofin on the machine. That’s why they don’t look back or say anything, they can’t see him he has basically disappeared into thin air and they don’t remember him. The only one that can see him is past rictofin therefore telling him he can’t live and that he will no longer exist. The ending is sad because rictofin has worked so hard to defeat the shadowman and has to die and doesn’t know why, he’s doesn’t understand he doesn’t know what happens if he goes through that portal, he thought he was gonna defeat the shadowman and him and Monty would win, he doesn’t know what happens after this. Rictofin has ended the cycle and has saved the whole zombie crew and isn’t even there to celebrate the victory 💔 Thank you rictofin. Origins-blood of the dead

The reason why they never said goodbye was because they never really liked him from the start. In origins, Nikolai wished his demise on Rich. Dempsey doesnt trust him either, and Takeo, well he is just Takeo i dont know how he really feels. Rich tries so hard to spend some time with them just to like him but sometimes, things have to end at some point which is sad. I could be wrong but i think this makes sense imo

Daniel Bech he was from another timeline that was repeated before this one, my guess is another Richtofen with the blood vials came to him and told him he needed to get to Alcatraz and stay in the chamber until he was released, so a Richtofen gave him a single blood vial so he wouldn’t be reset when the timeline was
