Bro as simple as it can be for us guys (mostly) - our mother > sister > father > over any random or friendly person. Or you know what, actually anybody would most definitely put their family over their friends or partner (not married one's ofc) Like even Devi in show is often shown as sliding towards her mom than others.
There's a difference between choosing/loving a family member over someone else vs not having the courage to make your own valid decisions because a family member doesn't approve
I come across the same "Devi is sooo toxic.. she's the worst friend ever.. girl's got serious issues.. blah blah blah" kind of comments under all her videos. What most people don't realize that this is INTENTIONAL! She's one of the very few protagonists who is messy, imperfect, and makes tons of mistakes like the rest of us, which honestly makes her such a realistic character! All of us are heroes in our stories, but what we don't realize is that we are often the villian in others' life. This is portrayed so well in Never Have I Ever! Making such a flawed character the protagonist has to be one of the main reasons why I love this show. She makes me mad and cringe with second-hand embarrassment at times (let's be honest--most of the times!), but it's so refreshing to see a character that's so much more than the same old stereotypes. Mindy Kaling rocks!
I don't think it's fresh 🤔 It's just Indian version of American teen-drama. Plus she is a narcissist We like her because she is the protagonist, if this was real person I don't think anyone would be around such a person. Yea that's true, we are villan is someone else's story.

After all, as the Person above said, Devi : "Well had my Dad been alive, He would have actually cared for me unlike both your Parents."

He gets attacked for choosing family over some highschool gf? Edit: i dont give enough of a fuck to watch it, just mald in peace please.
I he got a drink thrown on him for choosing a phone over her
it was more over what his mom said ab her, she was dealing w complex grief from her dad’s death, and that boy’s mom pretended to be there for her, made her believe that she could be trusted, then told her son to dump her bc she had “too many problems”, she later lies ab ever doing that too but yes ur right it wasn’t his fault lmao
I'd choose the phone over her too, holy shit she's toxic and immature.
Maybe watch the show and get info before assuming things
@@Tsunami5062 Maybe you should re-watch it
She should have thrown the coffee in Des’ mom’s face.
I agree, but at that point it was only Des in front of her, but ow boy did her mom washed and wrung his mom without water after what she said about Devi, it was absolute savage.
I want to be better for her son? The boy wasn’t stupid for some hoe..
@@deeptabarua5997 that was so satisfying. Definitely one of my favorite scenes.
Can you tell me the name of this show please?
@@JowelleDfouni.HappyArt never have I ever
We need one more season!!!!
I love her sm
If “and then everybody clapped” was a show
Bro as simple as it can be for us guys (mostly) - our mother > sister > father > over any random or friendly person.
Or you know what, actually anybody would most definitely put their family over their friends or partner (not married one's ofc)
Like even Devi in show is often shown as sliding towards her mom than others.
There's a difference between choosing/loving a family member over someone else vs not having the courage to make your own valid decisions because a family member doesn't approve
@@parkchanyeol1544This>>>>>>>>
Me seeing all these criticism of Devi when I am spiritually connected with her
Who else can imagine Malcolm wearing a Dracula suit?
“She threw coffee on my son!”
Devi:”Iced,coffee”
I love how Devi's mom came through for her daughter.
I don't think it's fresh 🤔
It's just Indian version of American teen-drama.
Plus she is a narcissist
We like her because she is the protagonist, if this was real person I don't think anyone would be around such a person.
Yea that's true, we are villan is someone else's story.
Making mistakes and being toxic are two different things
@@muskan2055 guess you missed the "flawed" part :)
Dunno, lately it seems all young teenage females are portrayed like this...hope they aren't being seen as role models cause that would be very sad
@@ForeverHangry being flawed shouldn't be a personality trait.
Assulting someone rejects you is NOT COOL 😂😂😎
She proved his point
The second one is sweet though. Ben essentially said shes above 6 by talking to her. I havent watched the show but hes kinda cute
You should watch it! It's on Netflix and I'm team Ben all the way ❤️
She was the best for the role in this time
She’s so crazy love her vibes
Devi is a queen but when she said “douchebag” on that man i literally was like “WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE THAT!!! 😂😂😂😂”
Do you understand what savage means because she is not savage at all. I was underwhelmed by her lines she just acted liked a spoiled child.
He had enough time to dodge that drink lol
"At least i can grow a mustache"
"At least i have a dad"🗿"what mustache did he have while in his casket"🗿"what mustache does he have buried 6 feet underground"🗿
“at least my dad cared about me” 🥰
Ben is Not a Cheap Bully like You😂. He might still be a teenager, but he is still manly enough to Not insult someone's Family - because a)He knows that Devi will throw that shit right back at Him b)He has got more class than to escalate a typical nerdy fight between Him and His Best Friend to that level.
After all, as the Person above said, Devi : "Well had my Dad been alive, He would have actually cared for me unlike both your Parents."
P.S. : Devi's Family cremates People who pass away - Not a Burial.
I hope Never Have I Ever gets a reboot in the next few years
Realistically speaking you’re telling me you’re gonna sit there and watch someone aggressively grab and struggle to open the drink to throw on you 😂
Fr😂
Was she tryna date 3 ppl-💀 I'm confused with why she wants to date 2 ppl at the same time and then getting pissed over that other dude not accepting her or smt
Your typical Indian girls 😌
@@Blaze72sH definitely not.. Just because of this stupid character, better u dont make such assumptions.. Indians girls definitely know what's "cheating"
It was moreso the fact that he wasn't on honest with her about his mom not allowing him to date Devi anymore, and that he was dragging out the break up by slowly ghosting. This is added to the fact that the mom disapproved literally right after she brought Devi down from an episode of PTSD about her late father.
@@nightkingxx And from where did you get this data?😂
They all act beyond their age.
If genders were reversed, throwing coffee would be considered as assault.
She seems really toxic. She comes across as entitled, judgemental, and cruel.
wow usually i get excited to see a show after watching shorts.Thank you for breaking my streak.
I love this show. And I love Devi
“all i see i immature children who cant be happy for their friend”
all i see is dandruff-
And 110% savage was when Pati Nirmila said Manish “probably thinks a Golu is a GroPro camera for the toilet” 🔥🔥😂😂
that wasnt even a funny line
I like how Ben saying he doesn't pick anything under 6, is his way of telling her she's pretty, since he always notices her
Apparently Nirdesh was the victim of Devi's maximum level of savageness 😂
That Poor boy wanted his phone to get paid for the rest of his life.😅
"Savage"? Throwing a full latte at someone's face when you're getting dumped is anything but savage... Best would be shit
Exactly
This is abuse regardless of genders
If this girl had slightest of empathy
She would have thought , that des is not her slave to accept her proposal even if he doesn't want to, so throwing coffee is like "She has too much ego that nobody should ever say no to her"
"I don't care what your home life is like, are you really not gonna capitulate to my desires?"
last one was so smooth😌
Amazing job!!
Should’ve ended with, “I hope she pays for your clothes too.”
Bruh ur brain dosent work
"She threw coffee at my son" " COLD coffee"
still assault

No, she's not savage. She's amazing!
“I won’t hit a woman, but I’ll slap a bitch.”
Bro should’ve seen that drink comin at him from a year away
It’s the “atleast I can grow a moustache” for me😂😂
Excellent show, I loved it. (adults too)
I just love Devi and Ben together 🤗🤘🙈😘😍😍😍
Was waiting for that ice coffee line I don’t like devi that much but hee confident is perfection
I really wish she could have said:"lets see how your mom will pay for this" would be really epic
I feel like she has moments that are a lot more savage than this. Especially since Ben was joking in the second one so it wasn't a real comeback.
Oml the third clip- I-is that Diego (aka) Proxy from Every Witch Way😭😭😭😭😭 miss that show sm
Yes it is!I didn’t notice it at first
Devi so much. She’s so relatable and funny . And sassy like me.
She is also the One who told a Jewish Boy that she hopes the Nazis would have killed him...
You wish .
just like me and patrick bateman
Literally me fr 😭😭😭😭😭😭
That last one was uncalled for honestly
His AhAhHHH in last after she pours coffee in his face🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the comebacks themselves arent that cringy, its just the way the actress delivers them that makes them seem bad
