I would like to make a point correct in this video....the current is a scalar...as second order tensor that you will study in engineering has 9 components (examples are Moment of Inertia, stress)...while electric current doesn't fit in this category....
Just that something that has direction associated with it and not follow Vectors' Algebra does not imply that it becomes a tensor.....
An example is time....note that for time delta t (dt) is always positive....that means on time axis it will always point towards +ve axis... But it is a scalar....
There are various types of algebra in mathematics....we also have abstract algebra....
So if in any question you are asked what electric current is with one option as Tensor and one as scalar.....
Choose scalar....(or if there is an option zero order tensor than you can choose this also as it is same as scalar)
If you are asked about moment of inertia and with same options.. choose a Tensor....

But our syllabus (jee advanced) has one one non zero term from a diagonal in above matrix rest all zero so we deal with as a scalar...

@@asphalt325 So this comment is from an year ago and I don't remember exactly. One thing that was blatantly wrong that he said current is a tensor not a vector or scalar. That's wrong because Scalars and Vectors are tensors of rank 0 and 1 respectively.
Current is actually a pseudoscalar. This means current is scalar under rotation i.e if you rotate your circuit it doesn't change the value of current. But it's not invariant under reflection. So a reflection of your current is of opposite sign.
Pseudoscalars are not Tensors , scalars or vectors.

I do not agree that resistance depends on direction of current. If a=b=c, resistance in all 6 direction is same for a given current and material. In your case, its a dimensional effect (a, b, c are different), not due to direction of current flow. For ex. In your case, If you take resistance with current in x and -x direction, they are same.

He is awesome.....his student used to teach us in our iit jee coaching institute and his way of teaching was quite similar to his mentor NV sir .....I don't know why but i get motivated after viewing any of his video ...He is an excellent teacher. I have never seen so energetic and interacting teacher..he teacher each and every student he never comes to teach his favourite students . Every teacher should learn something from his teaching methods . Our school teachers always do something during their so called lectures to make us feel low .. but he never does this....He is the best teacher i have ever seen..I would be lucky if i get a chance to meet him..
