Revenant ended so strong. Highly recommend. King the land is my favourite K-drama of 2023 so far. This review doesn’t quite capture its charm. It’s a typical romcom but it’s also an atypical romcom in how everything plays out. I just love it so much, followed by The Glory 2.

I think if you already dropped it, your opinion probably won’t change much if you resume it again as it’s pretty consistent all the way through.

I loved Black Knight it was so full of action, Heartbeat is one I've looked forward too and I'm really enjoying it, King the Land has a familiar story, but the cast plays it so well you get truly attached, Bloodhounds is violent but the situations are very understandable great duo. These dramas kept me looking forward to the next episode. I'm starting Taxi 2 now and think it will be a great drama too.

Heartbeat and See you in my 19th life, tale of nine tailed 1938 are a powerful masterpiece I had ever witnessed,full of love humour and fun and strong female characters loved it a lot lot and it really made my 2023 great thank you for three awesome series and their ost is superb and are already in playlists

"A Time Called You" is another one for the book for me this year 2023. I fell inloved with Ahn Hyo-seop from this drama and his acting is superb.. same goes to the lead female actress's acting. Love this tv drama
My Dearest on Viki is the latest masterpiece to watch if you are looking for something as good as Goblin. You will thanks me later 😊 Pretty sure that will come on Netflix soon!
I think my favourite k-drama so far this year is Miraculous Brothers. Imaginative and hilarious but I didn't really expect that to be on the list somehow :p Quite enjoyed Revenant and Bloodhounds (and I will get round to watching Taxi Driver 2 at some point).
Wow, Im still trying to catch up from years back. Korea seems to have a well-oiled machine for producing TV series. I've seen 5 of these listed here. I consider Queenmaker to be a good sleeper that some may skip. Thankfully, I didn't. I found Bloodhounds to be a little frustrating, but entertaining at the same time. While Black Knight was okay, King the Land got off to a painfully "color by numbers" start, but soon broke through and turned out to be really enjoyable! Rewatching See you in my 19th life is on my to-do list. I couldn't get into it for some reason. Getting through the series took me a long time.

I watch all the ones I can find with English voiceovers. I can't follow a story very well if I have to read subtitles, which makes me lose track of a lot of the action going on onscreen. I loved Queenmaker but Alchemy of Souls was my favorite.

@msuk3819 I really liked it, I watch a lot of Chinese dramas and many of them are not so good or have a disappointing ending or drag to long but Hidden Love was perfect, now is my favorite Chinese Drama, other C Dramas that I like are Go Ahead(so beautiful), Love like the Galaxi(Also Zhao Luci the girl from Hidden Love), Untamed, Falling into your Smile
The Real had so much potential. It had so many viewers who started watching it. No joke. It had the audience of a soap opera at the start but then they massively shot themselves in the foot. They are the definition of ‘fumbling the win.’
agreed, they should have cut it to 30 episodes. I was able to get over the horrible cheap looking stage lighting, and the day time soap opera delayed reaction shots, but episodes 25-35 seemed to drag on soooooooooooooooo long, with nothing much happening, then in the most recent episode, so much happened at once. Just bad pacing of the series.
@@randomman4938 I stopped watching around episode 18 and didn’t find a reason to pick it up again. From other people’s comments the characters and storyline has gotten even worse and nonsensical. It’s the first drama that I have watched more than 10 episodes of that I truly don’t care what happens at the end and I’m someone who usually needs closure, but I couldn’t give a hoot about any of the characters anymore. The writers completely destroyed all of them

I’ve seen most of them and thought Bloodhounds was amazing, the fight scenes were on a whole new level. Couldn’t get into Good Bad Mother and had to bail 7 episodes in, I also thought Revenant got more and more silly as the episodes went on but I did watch until the end. I loved King the Land (but then Junho can do no wrong) and I’m just about to start Heartbeat which I’m looking forward to.
@@dramaaddictdr I thought Revenant got more and more silly as it went along. I know people in Korea believe in ghosts (some anyway) so it’s their sort of thing and it was only made for Koreans so that’s fair enough, but to me it wasn’t scary enough to be a horror and too scary for kids, it couldn’t make up its mind what it wanted to be. As you said, everybody has different preferences so you might like it.
I don't know where in hell you got your ratings figures I've watched all of these dramas & King the Land is the best freaking drama on the planet. The only drama that came near is Hidden Love a Chinese series.

I think my favourite k-drama so far this year is Miraculous Brothers. Imaginative and hilarious but I didn't really expect that to be on the list somehow :p

Wow, Im still trying to catch up from years back. Korea seems to have a well-oiled machine for producing TV series. I've seen 5 of these listed here. I consider Queenmaker to be a good sleeper that some may skip. Thankfully, I didn't. I found Bloodhounds to be a little frustrating, but entertaining at the same time. While Black Knight was okay, King the Land got off to a painfully "color by numbers" start, but soon broke through and turned out to be really enjoyable! Rewatching See you in my 19th life is on my to-do list. I couldn't get into it for some reason. Getting through the series took me a long time.

"Dr. Romantic" Season 3 has been the best so far, followed by "Bloodhounds" then "King the Land".
I watch all the ones I can find with English voiceovers. I can't follow a story very well if I have to read subtitles, which makes me lose track of a lot of the action going on onscreen. I loved Queenmaker but Alchemy of Souls was my favorite.
After I had watched Chinese drama HIDDEN LOVE I lost interest in other drama because it's so good
I started it, but Chinese modern dramas can't keep my attention for long...i watched a few till end but most i find myself dropping. .but I'm a sucker for historical chinise dramas. I've watched them alll

@msuk3819 I really liked it, I watch a lot of Chinese dramas and many of them are not so good or have a disappointing ending or drag to long but Hidden Love was perfect, now is my favorite Chinese Drama, other C Dramas that I like are Go Ahead(so beautiful), Love like the Galaxi(Also Zhao Luci the girl from Hidden Love), Untamed, Falling into your Smile
Honestly Heartbeat had potential but it lost its spark. Tale of the nine tailed 1938 was epic as well as bloodhounds. I can’t quite get over those.❤

The Real had so much potential. It had so many viewers who started watching it. No joke. It had the audience of a soap opera at the start but then they massively shot themselves in the foot. They are the definition of ‘fumbling the win.’
agreed, they should have cut it to 30 episodes. I was able to get over the horrible cheap looking stage lighting, and the day time soap opera delayed reaction shots, but episodes 25-35 seemed to drag on soooooooooooooooo long, with nothing much happening, then in the most recent episode, so much happened at once. Just bad pacing of the series.
@@randomman4938 I stopped watching around episode 18 and didn’t find a reason to pick it up again. From other people’s comments the characters and storyline has gotten even worse and nonsensical. It’s the first drama that I have watched more than 10 episodes of that I truly don’t care what happens at the end and I’m someone who usually needs closure, but I couldn’t give a hoot about any of the characters anymore. The writers completely destroyed all of them

The Real was my top pick until the last episode due to different characters shown and most cast were talented people. They did a great job. Thanks. I love it.
Is it just me or did King the land have no plot / storyline there’s actually no pt of the entire story and there’s no chemistry btw the characters 🙃 Also I miss 2016 k dramas none of the recent k dramas esp the ones in 2023 hit that hard ☹️The only okayish drama I watched was Celebrity Pls lmk any other good ones Ty ☺️

It’s too sugar coated, honey dipped, very unrealistic,too sweet to digest.I am already diabetic, so it’s not for me.
I loved the same ones you mention, and loved King the Land. I've learnt that often the first 3 eps are painful while they're setting up characters and storyline. I hope you give it another go and enjoy it 😊😊
@@Akshita9614exactly! We came to watch the sweet, silly, fluffy romance. It doesn't have to be realistic like thats the point of kdramas, to escape from reality. King the land is for romcom lovers only.

The real has come is THE most frustrating drama to watch. 50 episodes is just brutal for that plot
A lot of it feels like they ran out of ideas and asked the cast to ad lib while treading water 😂

It’s the first kdrama to to cross the line of 20 eps at most. I don’t think this drama will ever be on my watchlist. I even came to the comments to check if it was real or the video creator made a mistake
I stopped at 28 , couldn't take it anymore.... like why so many episodes so unnecessary.....had recheck to make sure it wasn't a cdrama😢😢😢

Bora deborah ( true to love) is best for romcom for me in 2023.
The first few episodes are ok, after that it's a snooze fest.After the eighth episode, I didn't even watch it anymore.
Same I also loved bora de borah much more interesting than king the land it was so typical rich guy falling in love with poor girl had to quit after 2 episodes. It was quite unrealistic for me.

among all these dramas i one & only favourite drama king the land....after a long time see a sweet simple romantic comedy drama.

I’ve seen most of them and thought Bloodhounds was amazing, the fight scenes were on a whole new level. Couldn’t get into Good Bad Mother and had to bail 7 episodes in, I also thought Revenant got more and more silly as the episodes went on but I did watch until the end. I loved King the Land (but then Junho can do no wrong) and I’m just about to start Heartbeat which I’m looking forward to.

@@dramaaddictdr I thought Revenant got more and more silly as it went along. I know people in Korea believe in ghosts (some anyway) so it’s their sort of thing and it was only made for Koreans so that’s fair enough, but to me it wasn’t scary enough to be a horror and too scary for kids, it couldn’t make up its mind what it wanted to be. As you said, everybody has different preferences so you might like it.
My favourites are Dr. Romantic, Nine tailed fox, The good bad mother, Taxi driver, my 19 the life.
