Hace 60 años vi jugar al gran José Leopoldo Carrera, campeón mundial de carambola libre. Me dijo que tenía 5 campeonatos mundiales y un récord de 1600 carambolas!
So, we are playing this game directly, without those squares. My record is 43. And in the club. Is it an achievement to make 43? This for sure looks easy peasy, but it is certainly not. Oddly enough, we play carom in Serbia. Dont know how it historically reached Serbia, but i've heard it was played in ancient times, Persia. Can anyone explain the rules for this game? And size of table?
Size of table is Match-table. The type of cadre says it. 47/2. makes the table 3x 47 cm wide and 6x 47 cm long. (about 284x142 cm rounded off). Rules of the game explained in link mentioned in the comments. Libre match also knows little corners on the table with the same rules. On match table it is more difficult due to the extra small squares at the ends of the lines. So a double announcement is made when those are reached, for the big square and for the small square. And yes, Raymund makes this look soo easy, but it's not. He is just a dangerous player who needs only a few turns to finish a game (or 1 turn regularly enough). It is great to see and very educational!

Those frames drawn on the table: not more than 2 points can be made in them, after that one of the ball (not the player's own cue ball) has to leave the frame where they were. Check Balkline on wikipedia. Game is won when someone score 250 points.
